In a sign that he is about to announce another presidential campaign, Donald Trump released a video this week of his awesome Boeing 757 being refurbished. This is the airplane he used to campaign during his successful 2016 election. According to Trump, “Now it has been completely modernized and renovated, and looks GREAT, all done in the Great State of Louisiana, and coming back to the skies in the Fall of 2022, or maybe sooner. Get ready!”

Americans are definitely “ready” for the return of Donald Trump to the White House, especially after 18 months of the worst presidency in United States history.

Under President Trump, gas prices and inflation were low, and the country was energy independent. Trump was able to rebuild our military, keep our enemies in check, fight back against China by instituting tariffs, negotiate four historic Middle East peace deals and provide a measure of border safety as a wall was being constructed.

All this progress was reversed under the administration of President Joe Biden, who is doing the bidding of radical leftists in the Democratic Party. …

We need a return to $2.50 gas, 2%or less inflation, real working and middle class wage increases, energy independence, Middle East peace deals, and China kept in check. We want Trump back to bring that all back.

BWAH- ha- HAha, Haha- Hey-he-Yeah-- That is funny!
    "Op-Ed"
is the part that is "exactly right."

While Biden's approval ratings are, indeed, in the crapper, at 33%, the hilarious part, is that the polled results, in the most recent surveys of voter opinion, nonetheless have Biden beating Trump, by 3 percentage points, 44% to 41%, in one poll, and 42% to 39%, in another.

What a difference, a week makes!

Biden still edges Trump in hypothetical 2024 rematch, 44-41.

It’s a reminder of one of Biden’s favorite aphorisms: “Don’t compare me to the Almighty, compare me to the alternative.”
    [End]

And there are a lot of weeks, between now & November, 2024.

No doubt most Americans don’t like Biden, don’t like what has happened to them over the last year or so. But that doesn’t mean they want Trump back. They don’t. I’d say they’re ready for someone new, a fresh, young face. Here:

“A whopping 71 percent of registered voters think Joe Biden shouldn’t run for a second term, the top reasons being, he’s a bad president, he’s too old, it’s time for a change. This is from recent polling conducted by Harvard University, which also puts the number of Americans who think Donald Trump shouldn’t run again at 61 percent.”

    https://augustafreepress.com/poll-m...n-to-run-for-a-second-term-because-obviously/

and this is not all. Voters sick of Biden and Trump may look to independent candidate in 2024 White House race

“The poll of registered voters, taken at the end of June, found that 60% would consider an independent candidate in 2024 if Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump are their respective parties’ nominees.”

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/jul/6/voters-sick-biden-trump-may-look-independent-candi/

The GOP should remember they’re still the smaller of the two major parties, hence they must win the independent vote. History has shown people usually don’t vote for someone they dislike. 61% of independents have an unfavorable view of Trump. 57% of independents view Biden unfavorably. No love for either one.

The bottom line is a good majority of folks are just sick and tired of both Biden and Trump. They don’t want neither one. I think the Democrats are smart enough to nominate someone other than Biden. Biden won’t be running in 2024. The question remains, are the Republicans also smart enough to run someone else other than Trump? You know more about the Republicans than this old swing voter, so are the Republicans smart enough to run someone who could attract the independent vote that they need to win? Or is it Trump once more?

I want JFK back. But since he's unavailable, Trump will do.

My belief is that if the Dems run anyone other than Biden, Harris, Clinton that Trump will decide after that not to run again. Then it becomes Haley, Noem, Tim Scott, Ben Carson, De Santis, Pompeo and maybe more to consider.

gas prices are falling faster than they can scrape the "thanks joe biden" stickers from the pumps. wall st journal is worried that small gas station operators will be hurt by falling prices.

i'm for newsom/aoc 2024, but maybe bernie is up for one last try.

I’ve always said that I don’t think neither Trump nor Biden will be running in 2024. That it won’t be neither Clinton nor Harris for the Democrats. Neither those who’ve tried before, old foggies like Sanders, Warren, etc. That the results of this year’s midterms will directly affect who’s running from both parties.

The midterms will usually promote a couple of unknowns who weren’t considered into consideration for 2024 and be a major blow to a candidate or two who were mentioned quite a lot prior to the midterms as being a candidate for 2024.

I think most voters want Biden out, not having Trump back. Neither one is good for America. Both are far too polarizing in a time when we need national healing.

Someone below retirement age would be a good start.
Trump and Biden are both 20 years too old.
