As the article notes, the recent track record of a studio as amazing as Pixar was isn't great under the recent Disney stewardship.

As noted, all the recent films have been lackluster failures. The latest film cost $200 million to make and then there will be the marketing.

    What's the result?

This is of course a very kind review. This and many of the "industry" reviews want to help out and talk up a parable about immigration and the trials and tribulations related to it as much as possible. That said there's just not much to save here.

I always find it a bit interesting when the left seems enamored with their own elements of their own religion. Many recent movies often have focused not on the actual elements but on the unscientific four elements of land, air, earth and water from the timeframe where we simply didn't know better. These four elements are more mythological than scientific However those four fit better for the Gaia save the earth types where feelings more than facts are preferred.

Additionally in the same unscientific vain, they want the audience in the film to struggle and yearn for a world where science doesn't really exist. If you are fire and in love with water, your feelings can overcome the fact that they can't co-exist together.

No wonder stories that try to smash all these things together become bland, boring and a mishmash of nothing you care to watch.

Another sad outing for Disney that will cost them buckets of money in losses. It's sad that Disney at this stage has destroyed so many franchises and studios. I can remember a time when people wanted to see Lucasfilms/Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar films. Now it isn't just bad politics, but bad scripts with bad premises that keep audiences away.

Well I've never heard of it so maybe they didn't market it well.

Comes out next week, but the reviews are mediocre. Not expected to be a big hit

It was expected to be a big hit by Disney who spent $200 million on it.
