    I have downloaded it twice in a pinch. Didn't like it so much. I use Word and WordPerfect.

    I use the Open Office at home and at work. We're a small company and my boss is the only one with a seat of Microsoft Office 2003. For everyone else I've installed Open Office.

    I don't think the program is any worse than MS Office, but if you're used to MS Office, getting used to Open Office might be a little more tricky than if you'd just picked up first. While I admit my use of it is limited to a few Word and Excel type documents, I haven't found anything I wasn't able to do with Open Office that I could do with MS Office.
