Arctic Ice Fears Erased in November

9 Days Ago by Ron Clutz

    Excerpt:

As noted in a previous post, alarms were raised over slower than average Arctic refreezing in October. Those fears are now laid to rest by ice extents roaring back in November. The image above shows the ice gains completed from October 31 to November 30, 2020. In fact 3.5 Wadhams of sea ice were added during the month. (The metric 1 Wadham = 1 M km2 comes from the professor’s predictions of an ice-free Arctic, meaning less than 1 M km2 extent)

The Russian shelf seas on the left filled with ice early on. On the CanAm side, Beaufort at the bottom center is iced over, Canadian Archipelago (center right) is frozen, and Baffin Bay is filling from the north (presently 57% of last March maximum). Hudson Bay (far right) first grew fast ice around the edges, and is now 70% iced over. A background post is updated below, showing that November 2020 has added 3.5 M km2, 67% more than an average November, more than offsetting October deficits, with the two months combined matching the 2019 recovery.

CO2 bogeyman fails again, there will be a lot of winter ice up there.

No it isn't. It's slightly below the "average" of a cherry-picked above-average portion of a longer cyclical variation.
Deceitful misrepresentation of data in the service of a political agenda can be called many things, but "science" is not one of them.

Ha ha ha, just a 40 year record in a 11,500 Holocene time frame. Meanwhile 1979 is the high peak in the Satellite data which actually started in 1975 and running continuously ever since, thus you have a small part of a long Arctic cycle, which you warmists ignore that fact all the time.

How come you and other warmist/alarmists ignore a lot of published science research that says it was little to ZERO summer ice for centuries at a time? yet no cataclysmic reactions ever observed. during the early interglacial period.

I have showed you some of the published research several times before which you continue to ignore it, because you are an ideologist wedded to a stupid AGW conjecture.

Polar Bears are over 27,000 and maybe more right now, many are shown to be FAT! They are obviously not so dependent on Summer sea ice after all.

I notice you have completely ignored hard evidence that the Arctic region is benefitting from the decreased summer sea ice cover.

    Cheers....

Looks like the ice extent came back, eh? Nothing to fear.
