Apparently. They haven't had any problem with infringing on the second amendment. Government is above the constitution, right?
But let’s face it you have come close on more than one occasion. This whole myth of “needing guns to keep your rights” is that a Rambo based myth. The “right to revolution” can and does lead to civil war and has consequences if you lose
well everyone who wants to get rid of our rights tend to be gun banners so obviously those who want a leftist authoritarian collectivist government, see private gun ownership as an obstacle to their schemes.
I'd rather keep the guns. Liberty is the fuel for peace not subjugation. Don't be jealous because you gave up.
the pro rights community tended to call gun banners-members of the "Anti Rights Coalition". gun banners almost always want more governmental control in the areas of economics and many are desirous of being supported by government. Of course you have the faux-libertarian gun banners who push gun bans to attack people perceived to oppose these libertines' pet causes such as abortion and of course the alphabet agenda
Yeah it's interesting that in countries like Australia and we see them building prison camps, countries like the UK we see police arresting people for tweets. It's like when the government takes away a right it doesn't just stop there. It wants more and more and more until famine.
Something I've never heard of is a dangerous totalitarian government that murders millions of its own people doing so why the people had Liberty. It's always big centralized power hungry governments that do that.
Maybe. But I'm not arguing laws in AUS. Not my monkeys, not my circus. In the US, medical information can be obtained with a warrant issued by a judge, presumably observing just cause and due process. THUS abortion restrictions could be enforced without violating HIPAA. Mind you, I'm not advocating that they SHOULD be, but if we're going to infringe one right, why not all of them, eh?
Why do I need to define it? I'm not advocating for any restrictions. I'm simply pointing out that if one right can be infringed, so can others. I prefer we all stop banning and restricting ****. Guns, abortion, weed... just stop and let people be free. But since you all can't, I'm asking for some intellectual consistency.
No, can't recall ever "coming close", even when I lived in Detroit many years ago. That's right- within the city limits of Detroit, not just out in the burbs of Detroit. I've never even owned a gun. I've had a lot of fun shooting them on various ranges over the years- all the way from Boy Scouts at 14 years old to Blackwater at, let's just say, much older. I've spent 5 years working in a hospital, including the ER, as a Respiratory Therapist and worked on a few gun suicides (as well as inadvertent suicides by driving into the side of an Earl Schieb body shop at 50 mph) and have never been anywhere near a shooting or homicide of another human being (yes, unfortunately I'm rather familiar with suicide). And I live about 80 miles from Congress including on Jan. 6 (I've worked as a lobbyist in DC as well as a Federal Regulator in the Administrative State down by the Navy Yard). I've not only never been anywhere close to gun violence, I've never met a Proud Boy or Oath Keeper in my life that I'm aware of. I think that's a huge problem in our society right now- the ability through mass media to stoke and exaggerate "threats" when none exist. I do live in an area of "gun nuts" that hunt and target shoot and love them some guns and occasionally open carry in the Costco. And probably one of the safest areas of the country.
So you think you had the right to produce child pornography at one time? You think you had the right to slander somebody?
