That Europe was already locked-down. Even if I wanted to get back to my family in the states I would not have been able to do so.

In order for me to leave my house, since three weeks ago, I must download a document from the French government that gives me the choice of 7 reasons for wanting to leave the house. None of them permit me to go to an airport. Airports have since been closed anyway.

In France, we are able to leave our premises only for seven reasons. The most familiar is to go shopping for food and other personal basic-necessities. I designate my purpose for leaving the house, sign it, and keep it in my possession whilst outside my premises. I can be stopped and asked to produce it at any time.

If one leaves their home without the above document and the police asks them to produce it, they are fined immediately $143. (On the spot, including payment.)

That drastic mechanism has helped to reduce finally the number of new-infections (which all come initially from other humans). If that continues, France will allow people to exit "lock-down" and go back to work. But, the present lock-down continues anyway until the end of this week.

And it may be extended again if the number of infections rises for any reason whatsoever ...

 

Sounds horrific to live under that kind of oppression.
I would guess being asked for papers from armed authorities in France would bring back bad images from the 1940s.

Only he didn’t ingest chloroquine — he drank fish tank cleaner and poisoned himself to death.

The media ran with the lie as yet another "orange man bad" story.

The Mesa Police Department are investigating the death of Gary Lenius as a homicide.

The Mesa City Police Department’s homicide division is investigating the death of Gary Lenius, the Arizona man whose wife served him soda mixed with fish tank cleaner in what she claimed was a bid to fend off the coronavirus. A detective handling the case confirmed the investigation to the Washington Free Beacon on Tuesday after requesting a recording of the Free Beacon’s interviews with Lenius’s wife, Wanda.

Gary Lenius, 68, died on March 22. Wanda, 61, told several news outlets last month that both she and her husband had ingested a substance used to clean aquariums after hearing President Donald Trump tout one of its ingredients, chloroquine phosphate, from the White House briefing room.

Friends of Gary Lenius told the Free Beacon they were skeptical he would knowingly ingest fish tank treatment.

Rather, they described Lenius as a levelheaded retired engineer and recounted a troubled marital relationship that included a previous domestic assault charge against his wife, of which she was ultimately found not guilty. The Free Beacon also reported that Wanda Lenius was a Democrat donor.
