So, just because I'm a bit bored and need a good laugh, when and how does an "experimental" vaccine lose that status?? Does the FDA come along and say, in a few years, "Hey, it's really 100% OK now!!"

Or do you require Joe Rogan to give his thumbs up (somewhere)?

Can't believe I'm even playing along with that bullshit description, but again, expecting great things in response...

When the FDA declared that the vaccine is no longer in the experimental stage of development...duh!

That happens after all the required testing and research has been done to prove it's safe.

How can a big government guy like you not know how this works?

When I was in the Army, I was innoculated for numerous diseases. None of those vaccines were experimental. Stuff like malaria, small pox, TB, etc. Those vaccines had been out for decades and had been proven safe.

The argument by the vaxxers was that, "it's all about force readiness". Well, that was ****ing stupid, because the the vaccine didn't prevent COVID and a soldier who caught COVID, even after being innoculated was "non-ready, deployable". So, the vaccine didn't have ****alls to do with "readiness", because the vaccine didn't make a soldier sick with COVID ready to deploy.

Trying to understand where you think they’re bodily autonomy ends. No shots, but can be forced to rush into almost certain death?

The purpose of the infantry is to close with and kill the enemy which of course means risk. Not take an expermental drug that BTW did not even work, i.e., prevent Covid. So apparently you think it is OK for Biden to make people take expermental drugs. And you people always compare Trump to Hitler. lol

No medical experimentation allowed, you mean?...lol

It's one thing to get ****ed up on the battlefield, by the enemy. Something totally different when you get ****ed up by the people you trusted with your life.

If you want to give Trump credit for the vaccine, go ahead, but since you hate him so, that might backfire. He got it out in record time, and it probably kept the epidemic from getting much worse.

One more point for you to consider with respect to your historic comments. During WWII we had a draft. Now we do not have a draft. I doubt we will ever again have a draft. So perhaps requiring soldiers to take experimental drugs is not the best approach for maintaining a volunteer military. Just sayin.

Covid 19 is dangerous to the elderly the military should have only required vaccines for personnel 65 years and up. They don't require the RSV or shingles vaccine. These are vaccines you get in your elderly years. Just like when I attended college for a few classes a few years back they didn't require me to get them in meningitis vaccine it's too old to have been affected by the virus.

It doesn't make sense to vaccinate the military because they tend to be younger. And it's good of military personnel to refuse this because it was an experimental drug still is to a degree.

So if you get pregnant while serving in the military they order you to have an abortion or order you to give birth?

It's not really a fear of needles it's a fear of being experimented on.

Trump said it’s safe. What’s your basis for calling him a liar who kills people?

"He" did no such thing... The drug manufacturers/FDA got it out in record time, and he managed to mostly stay out of the way and provide all support/logistics needed (as any POTUS would have)

However, when it's all said and done with this guy (hopefully sooner than later), the rapid production of COVID vaccines will easily be considered his greatest achievement as President, from an exceptionally small list.

And THEN he didn't have the balls to get his shot in public, or even telling anybody he got it... Leadership!!!

Couldn’t agree more. Apparently it’s his supporters who need to be sold on it, not me.

A draft doesn’t sound like bodily autonomy at all!
But that is a reasonable point. Forced

Well so far, which has a higher death rate? Storming the beach at Normandy or getting the jab?

I hear aspirin will finally be declared not experimental in 2047.... So we all have that to look forward to..

Why do you think the powers that be would let experimental drugs go into the arms of the sitting president and president-elect? Some sort of plot to put a 50 yo in charge??

Storming the beaches at Normandy was an effort to free Europe from the clutches of the Nazi empire. Going to generate casualties and that's a more valuable use of life rather than experimenting on people for a drug they don't need.

One serves a purpose the other one serves corporate interests and also political interests.

you'd have a point if the government ordered people to take aspirin and it only treated or prevented illnesses that only affect elderly people.

Not all drugs are the same I don't know if you know that
The president is elderly. He's not military age. He probably took the RSV vaccine, in the shingles vaccine too. I'm betting recruits in the military don't have to take that but I bet they do take them meningitis vaccine which the president need to because different ages mean you're differently affected by illnesses.

It’s his vaccine, he deserves credit. How do you square your support for him with his attempt to kill us all?
