You're obviously referring to elected officials and not the real movers & shakers of the city. During 2012, Dallas saw the openings of the Perot Museum of Natl. History, Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas and the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge. The private sector is what runs things in Dallas... not City Hall.

 

The answer is simple. This is black on black crime, not white on black crime.

What on earth does any of that have to do with Dallas?

 

I was there for a conference not long ago and we stayed near the Navy Pier. While we didn't ever feel unsafe, we did notice the absence of cops in the area. In fact, we didn't see a single police car until we got to O'Hare on our way home... we even took a pic of the parked car (with no hubcaps on the back) to document the story that we didn't see a single cop downtown.

Maybe they were all out on shooting calls?

After Zimmerman acquittal what happened in Chicago this past weekend will look like a birthday party in Democratic cities across America.

 

Someone made the claim that it probably happened in Dallas too. I said, I believe that because Dallas is democrat run, so of course mobs of people commit crimes all over the place. Probably has a welfare and project haven that causes tons of ruckus. The rest of Texas is very nice though. I have been to Houston too, tons of crime, I am sure a democrat runs it. Any town you drive in and see horrible crime, you can be sure a democrat runs it.

 

So we've come full circle and sure 'nuff... there is no point.

The point is that democrats love a good crime ridden city and don't care at all when dozens of blacks die for no reason everyday in their towns, but get crazy bent out of shape ready to riot when a close case of murder/self defense causes the death of a teenager. They have time for this:

In that I agree, the poorer an area the more crime, it is simply the nature of things and has nothing to do with Dem or Repub run.

Looks like all those gun laws, background checks, bans, registrations, and permits are doing a mighty fine job of reducing violence and keeping people safe.
