There’s been a lot of talk about Democrats cheating on the elections. While it doesn’t seem likely that challenging the elections in court is going to be successful, there was, indeed, cheating in 2020 elections.
Considering that Biden is winning just by the skin of his teeth in quite a few states, one can make a strong argument that if social media and main stream media didn’t block the laptop story then the election would have gone another way.
People didn’t elect Biden. The CEO’s of Facebook, Twitter, AT&T (CNN), and others elected the President for us.
Facebook news feed looks like a liberal echo chamber, you get the impression that the United States just had a second Independence Day by voting out Trump, despite the fact that he still received a heck of a lot more than all liberals were willing to accept.
I signed up for this platform and hope it does go mainstream. We’ll see.

Wow. What a difference two months make. It's not the top downloaded app anymore.

Not due to a drop in demand, but because billionaires decided to nerf it.

I was a member of Parler. I support free speech. I saw nothing wrong with Parler. But if you are against Parler I would like to hear your reason why.

So basically the OP is saying he believes many people rely on social media for their news. I’ll just let that sink in.

No, but social media company gets to pick what to show you on your news feed. That can influence your perception of what you think others think.

App isn’t the end of the world. This forum doesn’t have an app too. I’ve heard Parler is coming back. While I didn’t have friends there, I think it’s important to let it exist as an alternative to Facebook and Twitter.

No it doesn’t. I have the ability to pick and see news from FOX, Breitbart or any numerous conservative news sites on Facebook, Google News, Twitter, etc.

    Yes. That should sink in.

I never signed up for Twitter, but looking at the Tweets from public accounts certainly creates a wealth reading materials. People do post links to relevant news articles and opinions, written by both mainstream State media propagandists and a huge variety of independent journalists one might not find elsewhere.

Or you can go the old-fashioned "traditional" way and get your news from only from the MSM/State oligarchy who will indoctrinate your brain with one-sided, biased thinking. The elite mega-media oligarchs divided the country intentionally. Now they are set on wiping out any competing ideas or thoughts. Just let that sink in.

CNN/MSNBC is saying that FOX, OANN and other conservative media should be banned because they "destroy democracy". They suggest the public needs to be re-educated with "the truth".

Left State media pundits also suggest that long form podcasters on YouTube need to be wiped out because their "biased information" can create cells of radicals. They are now directly comparing people who offer a diversity of ideas and opinions to ISIS recruiters.

No, that's what I heard from CNN programming. They don't call it "programming" for nothing.

    Yes it does.
Facebook and Twitter won’t push every update from your friends into your news feed. Facebook generally delivers only the political posts from my friends that quote leftist sources. Others are not visible unless you visit your friends profiles directly. I saw it with my own eyes last summer - some conservative friends seemed to go very quiet, but if you visited their profiles you’d see they were active every day. Due to the number of friends that most users have, it’s would be very difficult for social media to display every update every one of your friend has made, so they pick and chose what goes trending - what you and others see.

I'm still seeing stop-the-steal posts on FB from my friends who support Trump.

The last four years I've seen endless streams of gushing from my friends on the right; and hatred from my friends on the left.

I suspect the next four years will look similar, except the right will be hating and the left will be gushing.

Well sure if you rely on seeing what friends post. You do realize you can “follow” anyone of those sites on Facebook, Twitter or Google News and you will see newsfeeds from those sites, right? I follow Newsmax, OANN, Fox and Breitbart on Google News so I can see what all of those sites are posting. I believe in seeing news from both sides of the political aisle.

    Aired on CNN.

Not surprising that you request I do a search for you, then you poo poo the link.

No point in doing someone else's easy web search for them. Look for information or remain in the darkness of propaganda. The choice is up to the individual.
