Only a well regulated Militia (of the United States) is specifically enumerated as necessary to the security of a free State.

Why should gun lovers who are not necessary to the security of a free State be entitled to an exemption from State gun control laws of the same State of which they are citizens; especially if they do not posses the character of a well regulated Militia of the United States?

Relevance must be asking too much from you. I had hoped you might have the ability to respond to reason.

Excuse me? You can't possibly be that ignorant.

Errrrr BOTH parties. Not "which" but "both". You didn't know this? The House Bill passed by voice vote because there wasn't enough opposition to even request a more formal vote. In the Senate, the number of Democrats voting for the AWB: 50/53 (94.3%), as opposed to the
number of Republicans voting for the AWB: 45/47 (95.7%). That's right,....... a higher percentage of Republicans actually voted for the legislation than the Democrats did.

Kinda turns your argument on its ear, eh?

    1. Liberals are the first to blame America for everything, most members of the military are conservative, people who hate the military are mostly liberal, liberals hate the pledge of allegiance, and at least one has said he hates the constitution.

    2. It was Clinton who signed it into law. Nevertheless, everyone who voted for it regardless of party was a dumb@$$.

Guess what Liberal what you want is not relevant see Americans have a bill of RIGHTS not Needs and a Constitution.

If you want to live in a Country which only the Military and Police have guns then you would have done well in Nazi germany but you will also do well in Iran where they Hang Homosexuals from cranes and count weomen as mens property. China where the Military use tanks to run down students for wanting freedom would also suit you

The DEMOCRAT formed kkk Agree gun control is good

You are nothing but a Liberal thug who backs Nazi Gun control. Americans are the Militia

I had to use my gun this afternoon...to kill a raccoon.

Racoons eat chickens and eggs... I raise chickens for eggs...and this one showed up this afternoon...coons are nocturnal...running around during the day is disturbing.

But no problem with this one... he is gone.

My gun is a tool...and yes...it is used to kill things.

I will also use it to kill my pigs when the time comes.

I love guns. I love shooting them. I love collecting them. I love being able to carry one with me in most places. I am responsible. I respect my rights. I cherish my rights.

You Europeans are just so used to being Statists, and having your government control every aspect of your lives.

Who doesn't believe that the Second Amendment merely exempts a well regulated Militia (of the United States) from State gun control (laws) in favor of federal gun control (laws) as prescribed by our federal Congress?

It's not surprising that you would use a made-up and bogus quote here. Yamamoto never said that.

Perhaps I was wrong in assuming that you could not be that ignorant. You have made a slew of assumptions that you cannot possibly support. All to support your wild belief that "conservatives love their country more than liberals do". I think that you should quit while you're behind, friend. The inanity is getting thick.

You DO understand the separation of powers, right? You had erroneously implied that it was the Democrats that were responsible for the AWB when this clearly was NOT the case. In reality a higher percentage of Republicans supported the measure than Democrats did. Therefor, your whole stance on this lacks any credibility.

The only quote I have ever heard that he supposedly said:

    Media portrayals

Several motion pictures depict the character of Isoroku Yamamoto. One of the most notable films is the 1970 movie Tora! Tora! Tora!, with Japanese actor Sô Yamamura as Yamamoto. He is seen planning the Japanese attack.

"I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

—attributed to Yamamoto in Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), in reference to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

There is no evidence that Yamamoto said this in reality despite the film calling it a quote.
