The Christian/Jewish God is not nearly as forgiving as people want to believe. When people ask why God would let children suffer or the poor go hungry I remember the Book of Isaiah where God threw his one time most loved angel Lucifer down to earth where he has been since deceiving and spreading evil and misery everywhere. But satan actually is doing God's bidding whether he knows it or not. I believe God is using satan to test us. There is a saying in the Bible that goes like this; it will be easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than it will for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven.

Many Christians believe the Devil was once a beautiful angel named Lucifer who defied God and fell from grace. This assumption that he is a fallen angel is often based the book of Isaiah in the Bible which says, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations.”

The Christian God character is truly a nauseating example of evil.

Rarely criticized by the left. Christianity is the object of their ire.

Says you. I would never acknowledge the authority (or even the existence, really) of such a putrid being. Maybe there is a god, but it isn't the gross character of the BIble.

That's your confirmation bias confusing you. he is rarely criticized because you live in a country that is about 80% Christian and about 1% Muslim. Mohammed just doesn't come up a lot. And, by the pigeon hole principle, most people on the left ARE Christians. So there's another glaring hole in your complaining.

Free will and the divine plan cannot coexist. Your logic is broke somewhere.

From our limited 5 physical senses we cannot truly know how God's divine plan can coexist with free will.

Allow me to help: free will is an illusion. You make choices before you are aware tou have made them.
