Unfortunately, Trump. At least he isn't bought. I do feel as though we'd just be trading in a representative oligarchy for a direct one, though. But I'd vote for Kim Jong Un before I'd vote for Hillary ****** Clinton.
http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...ogressive-globalism-boarding-trump-train.html i make the case here in another thread that if you want higher wages and better healthcare trump may be the best choice.
Trump sells himself as a fascist to win votes, which is scary that a candidate would have to do that. But then he's for single payer healthcare and opposes corporate globalization. *scratches head*
I know a lot of Trump supporters think Sanders supporters will switch and vote for Trump instead of Hillary. After all both are outsiders. But Trump supporters are mad, angry at different things than what Sanders supporters are. Trump supporters are angry at the Republican establishment, angry at the Republican congress for not showing a fighting spirit and going after Obama and the Democrats. They feel the very Republicans they help elect have become sissified and let Obama get away with whatever he wants. They love Trump's fighting spirit and political incorrectness, his name calling and what I define as schoolyard bullying. Sanders supporters think Obama and the Democrats haven't gone far enough to enhance big government and government control. They are angry at Wall Street and the wealthy, they think everyone should be paying more taxes, especially the wealthy, bring back the 90% tax rate bracket. Tax corporations at 50%, not 35%. Free college like free secondary school education. A living wage, $15.00. $20.00 an hour or more. Sanders supporters want government to be more progressive, more liberal, to make sure everyone can enjoy the middle class way of life. More welfare, more handouts. They are young idealistic white liberal voters for the most part. Clinton retains the black and Hispanic support in the 80% range. Sanders supporters oppose Trump's wall, his stance on illegal immigration. They oppose his proposed ban on Muslims. Sanders supporters view Trump as being a racist and against progressive values, equal opportunity, helping the poor. Both Trump and Sanders may be what one considers outsiders. But their supporters are angry at two different things. They will never come together.
