Dittohead, huh? Love it when Rush calls them "femi-nazis", right? And talks about his expertise on women.....after relating what he and Wife Number FOUR did last weekend???

 

Don't think there's much way USSR can claim to be a Christian...certainly not one who believes in the Bible.

 

Umm...that's a long article. But I found noting in there regarding the hating of men. And you're wrong, lesbians do not hate men. That's silly. Get out from behind the computer and experience life a little. Get to know people different from you. You'll be surprised at what you find.

 

It's not the computer that's his problem....it's the radio. Bet Mitt Romney's $10,000 wagering money ....he's a Limbaugh fan.

 

Yep- nothing like idolizing a drug addict serial monogamist. But hey- nobody knows more about the sanctity of marriage. He's had plenty of practice.

 

Rush's "issues" with women are obvious. THREE failed marriages in as many decades....his Sandra Fluke comments....his obsession with Hillary Clinton (much more so than Bill)....and his "femi-nazi" stuff going back years. Even ignoring the rumors of his supposed "sex tourism" in Central America.

But it gets truly hysterical when he starts off a show talking about what he and Wife Number FOUR did the previous weekend.....and segues into his full-throated and passionate "defense of traditional marriage".

And you KNOW there are ditto-heads who see no hypocrisy or even irony in it.

 

His ACLU rants are funny too- especially since he ran to them when he got busted for drugs.

 

Of course. ACLU helped him try to keep his medical records sealed for the "doctor-shopping" bust.....now of course he hates them again.

Also think he could probably at this point even go back on his more "libertarian view on drugs" and go back to his PRE-Oxy Bust stance of "lock up the junkies and throw away the keys"....and the 'heads wouldn't remember his own predicament. Flushed down the EIB's "memory hole".

 

Limbaugh could sleep with a guy on live TV, and they'd still act like it was nothing.

 

Well, again....Rush DOES seem to have "issues with women". And those rumors of trips to Central America.

Just throwing it out...but could he have claimed "something else" to avoid the dreft during Vietnam besides his "anal cyst"?????

I think Cracked nailed the subject of Limbaugh's hypocrisy quite perfectly.

You do realize the difference between a factual cite and restating someone's opinion and agreeing with it, right? Please tell me you understand that.

 

Of course he doesn't.

 

Limbaugh's primary demographic is....old or racist/bigoted/homophobic (which he himself tangentially ADMITS)...or all of the above.

He panders to those who remember the "Good Ol' Days" of Jim Crow...."qwairs" in the closet or when you could beat them up in the gym locker for "looking at you"....women "in their place", at home, cooking, pregnant, all the "MadMen" fantasies....every war was World War-II or Korea.....and of course "WASP manly men" in charge of everything.

They pine for those days...and Rush simultaneously tells them how they are "under attack" but also "starting to win victories." His own hypocrisies are thus kindly overlooked by his audience....and they consider him (if not directly) everything from a "traditional family man" to even a "war hero" (not for fighting in one, but for "supporting" them).

But like his audience....his schtick is growing old.

 

And way to mention all of the secondary citations I provided when you said that you wouldn't accept wikipedia (because, after all, in this day and age that's totally reasonable ).

 

No matter what evidence you provide, he'll never accept it.

 

if the Rigthwing Echo Chamber (Right Radio, Drudge, Fox) told its audience the Sun was PURPLE.....you could lead most of them outdoors, point their eyes towards the bright yellow thing in the daytime sky and ask "What color is that?"....and they'd break down into two groups-

1. Half would claim "That's not the Sun."

2. Half would say "That's purple. What? Did your lefty friends on MSNBC tell you that color is 'yellow'? Yeah...right."

 

Well, not so long ago, I said to another poster, "If Jesus himself came down from Heaven and told you gay people were OK, you'd call him a liar and nail him to a cross."

And you know what? He admitted that he would.

 

Of course. Like I said, if a person can take SERIOUSLY Rush Limbaugh when he talks about "defending traditional marriage"....mere minutes after him telling them what he and Wife Number FOUR did the previous weekend.....and it raise no cognitive dissonance....they can be taught to believe anything.

Think of it as a "more benevolent Room 101" from "1984". RW Media wants to convince its audience of something contradictory, they don't put a rat's cage on their face and break their wills......they just slowdly work it into the conversation, tell the audience "If you don't believe me...go to Drudge or to the Washington Times, they'll confirm it"....and "Don't listen to that Lib'rul Media that tells you that...Oceania was at war with EastAsia....Oceania has ALWAYS been at war with Eurasia. And the chocorat has gone UP from 20 grams a week to 10 grams a week."

As with Winston Smith in the last paragraphs, they won't be angry (except during the Two Minute Hates...aka the "opening hour monolouge") or feel "oppressed"....they'll JOYOUSLY report on what Rush and Sean and Glenn and Levin and O'Reilly tell them, accept as Gospel truth....from men whom they rever even as much if not more than the Apostles.

 

...This is starting to get very silly.

 

Rotate it back around to the original premise......Rush and Fox's audience is demographically OLD....as are most of the homophobes.

That status....doesn't bode well for Rush or Fox's ratings or the "popularity" of opposing gay rights going into the next decades, does it?

 

The best cure for a nonexistant disease? A placebo!
