People from Northeastern towns, in states like New York or Connecticut or New Jersey, will move to places like Florida because of the lower taxes, fewer homeless beggars blocking the sidewalks, less racial strife and the more pleasant surroundings which exist in non-liberal locations. Unfortunately when they relocate to a more pleasant location they bring the reasons they left their Northeast, liberal-bastion homes with them as they relocate to the newer, cleaner, non-liberal environment. Then, if they are liberals, they will immediately start initiating typically liberal big-government things that they left behind, like a state income tax, blaming police officers for any increase in crime, more compassionate treatment of the homeless, more compensation for those on welfare, etc, thereby introducing all of the things they moved from the liberal Northeast into their new home to get away from, and in the process they ruin their new home for themselves and everyone else already there.

This tendency to ruin a good thing in an attempt to improve one’s own existence is not limited to American liberals living in liberal cities. Mexicans are good people, but when they relocate to the United States by illegally crossing our border, they are bringing the unpleasant things that caused them to leave Mexico, like unemployment, corrupt government, lack of education and poverty, and importing them to America. And add to this list the fact that they have been encouraged by our own government, especially during the Obama administration, to disrespect our way of life and our flag, and you have an explosive environment for them to live in, along-side American citizens. https://www.conservativedailynews.com/2018/01/beware-liberals-relocating-city/ The article goes on to talk about how good people can unintentionally bring negative side effects to an area they move into. Assimilation is a solution to the problem. It ends discussing the effects of liberals moving from big cities to smaller communities. It’s sad when people moving to get a better life for themselves end up affecting where they move to with the same problems that they were moving away from.

Well yes, of course. People leave the hell holes they left behind because of their beliefs and/or intellectual abilities. Yet it is those very beliefs that led to the hell holes that they now seek to leave.

Your link is to a conservative website so far to the right they don't know what a left hand turn is. I suspect the article was crafted by the John Birch Society. You need to post a link to a non-partisan site to be taken seriously.

Ah yes, because "more compassionate treatment of the homeless" is how "to ruin a good thing.."

There is nothing to do with the JBS. The source site is a conservative News and editorial opinion site well within the conservative mainstream.

I realize now that this won't work, Mexicans and liberals already know how to get around or over a wall. Never mind.

No one in America now needs to be rounded up and put in camps. That’s just ridiculous and not at all what the article is about. America is a nation of assimilated immigrants and we are stronger for it. We simply need better control over who is coming into the country.

this was about liberals moving to a conservative state, nothing about immigrants from other countries
people move all the time, liberals and conservatives..... hardly think there is any plot by either side

I think we all agree about immigration reform being needed, but what to do with dreamers, ect.. are where some of the disagreements come in

ending the war on drugs would help, just use the same laws we have for alcohol, public intoxication, age limits, ect.... -- we have to stop funding gangs

It will be interesting to see how many stay and how many return once the catastrophic damage his been repaired. Also the island has a Republican Party. Not all of those 200,000 are going to vote democrat if the remain in Florida and register to vote.

White voters are moving to the South and making it more Democratic

One of the biggest U.S. political stories of 2017 was the boost that the Democratic Party got in elections across the country, widely interpreted as part of a backlash against the Trump presidency. And much of the party’s success came where few expected it — in the South.

In November, Democrats swept statewide races in Virginia, picking up more than a dozen seats in the House of Delegates. In December, Democrat Doug Jones’s victory in the U.S. Senate election in Alabama spurred talk of the party’s resurgence in a region where Republicans have dominatedfor three decades.

These Democratic victories resulted in large part from high turnout and overwhelming support and activism among black voters. But recent research suggests that Democrats are also benefiting from another phenomenon — whites who have moved to the South. Since World War II, Americans have been migrating South. That’s picked up in recent years, aided by a relatively strong economy and — as anyone north of the Mason-Dixon line this week will appreciate — balmy winters. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 10 of the fastest-growing U.S. cities in 2016 were in the South, five in Texas.

How is this changing the Southern electorate?

In a new article, political scientists Sunshine Hillygus, Seth McKee, and McKenzie Young show that whites who have moved to the South are more likely to be Democratic than lifelong Southerners.

They draw this conclusion by looking at data going back to the 1970s from the American National Election Studies survey. Since 1968, the survey has asked respondents where they grew up. This allowed Hillygus and her colleagues to categorize white residents of Southern states as “natives” (people who grew up in the region) and “migrants” (people who grew up elsewhere). It’s important to note that their analysis focuses only on whites, so it cannot speak to the region’s growing diversity.

Let's see. They left their homeland because TRUMP did not promptly fix their infrastructure problems. Think they love Donald Trump and the republican party? Guess again.

They couldn’t promptly be fixed because of all the corruption and lack of attention to infrastructure under prior democrat governor regimes and current San Juan mayor. People know this.
