https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/28/politics/taiwan-military-aid/index.html “The US on Friday announced a new weapons package for Taiwan valued at up to $345 million, a move that is likely to anger Beijing at a time when the US has been attempting to reset its relationship with China.” Once again, Biden is helping America’s friends at the cost of angering Beijing. The idea that Biden is in China’s pocket is laughable. He is putting America first.
There’s no war in Taiwan. If Biden doesn’t stand up to China, you guys say he is in China’s pocket. If he does stand up to China, you say he is starting a proxy war. Do you support selling weapons to Taiwan?
No matter what Joe does, on any topic, MAGA will find fault with it. Ignore with confidence Good to see somebody paying for their weapons though. We have to support Ukraine to the fullest, but it's been costly...
Biden is a traitor and a compromised resident.......We are confident we will not have the weapons to fight aggressors or even have the oil to take to battle... The supplies of unspecified weapons will come from American stockpiles and be transferred under the presidential drawdown authority... DUHHHHH. Lincoln.... "At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."
Traitor and compromised? If he was, as many have said, in China’s pocket, he wouldn’t be doing this. This action proves he ISN’T in China’s pocket.
See, I actually don't mind and support this action. I view Taiwan as an important national security asset for a free Asia. If Taiwan is taken, other smaller Asian nations will be at risk. Obviously there's the tech issue as well, but also because I believe Taiwan can be an important port to opening up the Asian markets to US consumers/industrialists alike. A lot of reasons for protecting Taiwan. I also have the hope that unlike the Ukrainians, they can actually properly use our equipment. But yeah, the Ukrainian flop means we're selling even more weapons than we would have.
