I know it seems like I'm all over the place(especially given my nationalist, aka 'far right' demands for far greater leeway and rights from Europe for American military assistance), but my view is actually still straight forward and narrow: If we don't get in now, before it develops, it will be far messier when Biden finally decides to defend his arcs of Nato Land. Also, as the independence declaration shows us, the Russians are not deterred by sanctions or by cyber warfare. Unless we jam their communications or something(and heck, what would that do without some other logistical change on the ground?)

The only real deterence to Putin is a military cost so great that the Russians would advise against it.

Trump's plan did not call for leaving during the height of the fighting season. Biden did that bit on his own.

Next step is to send in "peacekeepers" to defend these newly-recognized republics

Ukraine is not in NATO.... Biden didn't say we were going to defend "possible future NATO land".

If Putin invades say...Poland, then yes, he'll have started a new world war.... and Putin knows this, which makes his invasion "delay" even stranger..

Trump planned to ditch our allies and.leave without warning them?

Your argument is laughable but I'm not here to convince you.

I refer you only to the many polls about.Bidens withdrawal.

    Your problem isn't with me.

Your problem is with those polled.

Also lol at Biden saying the buck stops with him while blaming Trump.

Even his excuses prefer the company of men.

In a fiery speech, President Vladimir Putin made the case that Ukraine is by history and makeup an integral part of Russia.
    Monday, February 21, 2022 3:02 PM EST

Mr. Putin gave a lengthy televised address in which he accused Ukraine of being a “puppet” of the United States and said its citizens were being brutalized by its government.

He also laid out a long history of grievances since the fall of the Soviet Union and the loss of the states that once made it up

I do think he has his sights set on Poland, Belarus is a key neighboring nation to the Polish and it makes invading Poland that much easier.

Putin is announcing he's going in with a "peace keeping" force............

I just heard a good analogy.
In a poker game and one guy keeps raising and another keeps calling, the guy who keeps calling doesn't have anything, the guy who keeps raising either has a full house or he has nothing. Putin is doing the raising and Biden is doing the calling. Ukraine is screaming for sanctions now, they have been calling for them for weeks, probably too late now. Biden wants to talk in a few days............Harris was totally impotent in Munich.

I'm not him I profess, but as a nationalist if I were to put myself in his shoes(before I continue, a personal disclaimer: I am an American-German, with German ancestry on my mother's side, born in the US. I do not know of any Russian ties to my family name, if any. I only speak as a pro-US Nationalist, and imagining myself if I were in Putin's shoes with said 'extremist' views, but as as a Russian.)

Putin has made clear that the Eastward expansion is a 'red line' to the Kremlin. The West has also made clear that we will not withdraw our open ended policy to NATO membership. Also, Biden's "nato land" comment I referenced to, damns us even more as Putin has even more proof to the idea that NATO is a separate country-military alliance, not a defensive one. This changes the calculus from the Kremlin(from a Nationalist-aggressive prospective.)

If I were "President AN of the Russian Federation", I would tell Biden that negotiations are at an impasse and have met their end, since the West cannot for its stated reasons accede to the demand of Eastern Space. Further, that Russia cannot possibly endure the military buildup to its frontiers and be expected to be silent. Whether sanctioned or not, it's simply intolerable to Russian national security and thus Russia must act.

I believe Putin's true goal in recreating a new security sphere, is to create as much of a buffer between himself and NATO as possible. If he can't hold the territory, he'll make it so punitive for other nations in warfare that they wouldn't join the alliance lest risking another Russian assault. After all, NATO is only an 'assurance' if it can actually protect its member states. If it' tried and loses in conflict, the alliance will dissolve like tissue.

Preparation and getting through the Olympics hoping they would have a big PR with big wins and didn't want to overshadow. Putin will do so on Putin's time and place of his choosing, looking like he has chosen.

Yup, his "peacekeepers" will conquer Donetsk and Luhansk, and if the Ukrainian military resists, the Russians will use that as justification to roll deeper into Ukraine.

And roll on the the Dnieper River once established in the west. Putin's ultimate goal is to reform the former Soviet Union.

Do you understand that he took all the troops out ? Who and what was Joe supposed to fight with ? Trump signed a binding agreement, and took the troops out, gave the weapons the the afghani army who lost them to the 5000 taliban fighters Trump released, and you want to blame Biden for not fighting with no troops and no weapons to fight with ?
