A president can't raise the debt. Only Congress can. Who's in control of Congress, now?

    How do you define fascism?

How is Neofascism different from earlier versions?

Should I hold my breath waiting for an answer?

Biden certainly knows fascism (I don't know what "semi-fascism" is) when he sees it, and he assuredly knows how to trash and smear his opposition.

The fact that the MAGA practice a cult of personality, see no harm in overthrowing the government, want to force their values on the majority, and are willing to take up arms to advance their political agenda certainly classifies them as semi-fascists.

It's moments like this that it would be nice to have video posting on forum where you could actually see the face of the poster to see if they are saying things like that with a straight face. ;)

    I'm smiling.

Because while you live in denial, the Liberals are running this country.

And that won't change anytime soon.

I think he wants to be the person to walk up to the mike and declare "We GOT HIM!" But then when you don't have any accomplishments and those you proclaim are met with laughter...........

    Depression ?.... please.

    What is the unemployment rate?

How many jobs were created in July?

People are consuming less because interest rates have increased.

This will have a beneficial effect on inflation.

Just in time for the midterms....

"Trumpism" is a result of leftism. It goes beyond Trump and will continue after he is gone and likely culminate in the balkanization of the country, or the emergence of a new Soviet style government which crushes dissent.

Radical leftists never seem to understand that you can't get everyone to go along with your plan. You can't get people to give up traditions, religion, family, and their capital. So what do they do? Crush the opposition. Russia went through all of this already, and for what, millions of deaths and millions more lives destroyed.

The powers that be have to either put the crazies back in the bottle or destroy the country. The people don't want to go along with their plans. Trump is irrelevant, but he is all the leftists see now. They believe eliminating him will solve their problems. It will not.

There are very few actual "radical leftists" in the whole of the USA. What you are calling radical left (from a policy perspective) would actually be considered center right in most of the rest of the developed world and they all don't seem to be following this doom and gloom scenario.

I wonder when Dems will stop trying to misrepresent Republicans to try and hide their own fascist policies and stop pretending like they are for the liberty and freedoms our country was founded on and causing the HUGE deficits and debts that the next generation will have to pay for as opposed to Republicans who produced the last budgets that were in surplus or near it. That that just printing money and handing it out shrinks growth and wealth for everyone and government can never provide for the masses like the masses can provide for themselves.

The greatness was lost when the one side has to declare the other racist and sexist and any number of ..ist because on the matter of policy and making the country great they offer nothing but failed attempts to move us to a more socialist/fascist direction.

There are signs of recession emerging globally. It's difficult if not nigh-on impossible to avoid the ramifications of that. Despite being an economic powerhouse even the USA cannot completely distance itself from global trends.

I tend to see things from a macro level. In my business (rentals) so many properties from condos to single family homes are snapped up by multi-national investment firms. I can't tell you how many flyers, phone calls and mail-outs I get weekly asking to buy my stock. Rents have sky-rocketed. If I reassessed my small portfolio to full market, I could probably pull in an extra $3k a month without even trying but my tenants are good and I know they're already squeezed. They're not slackers either. As far as I know they all have college degrees and work hard for their money but I can sense they're all scared they might loose their leases to some more affluent clients (they won't).

Just up the street from me, two restaurants and a bar (in a single short block) which have been there for ever have shuttered. I'm pretty sure the three or four remaining businesses will be gone soon and the whole thing will be levelled as yet another four or five level with underground parking, street level businesses and singles starting at $2700.00 will be going up.

If you stand back from the situation, you can see that this is also happening globally. It's no more the fault of Democrats than the fix of Republicans. Places where people actually want to live and work are in shorter and shorter supply.

We either adapt or fail but it won't be a winners and losers situation, it will be a losers and even more losers state of affairs.

I hope the younger generations will be able to figure this out because, so far, we're doing a miserable job.

Quite the convincing argument you mount--
for a MAGA supporter, that is.
