Well, maybe I'm not a very good conservative, then. Yes, I do want lower taxes, in fact much lower. The tax burden most of us carry is obscene. And I'd absolutely LOVE to see a Constitutional Amendment that bans both income and property taxes, because their very existence is obscene.

But at the same time, I'm a strong proponent of weight/mile fees that pay for plowing the roads, along with all the other expenses associated with road vehicles, in direct proportion to how any given user contributes to those expenses being necessary. (Including the fees paid for by the delivery company bringing you your Amazon packages). To be clear, that is intended as a REPLACEMENT to gas taxes, not yet another new government way of extracting money from us. But that's not the topic at hand, so I'll just leave it there in this conversation. (And of course, I live in Florida, so we don't have to worry about paying for plowing the roads, regardless of how that gets funded.)

you can bet if it was Hillary or Obama you'd hear the sos we always have from hate media and if they headed the infection of 500K US citizens due to willful negligence they'd be just as guilty as the genocidal maniac you're defending. btw, have you heard the trash Hannity has been lying about ''Biden's disastrous week'' after 1 1/2 days in office? lol but don't blame the occupant of the Oval Office whatever you do!
look, he sucks. he listened to his nephew who told him it would only effect blue States and they could create a wild narrative and that fizzled to it's just a Dem hoax and blahdiblahblah as it went out of control and well you know ''it is what it is''. now we know he lied on his way out the outhouse door that there was more vacs coming now when he knew there never was a reserve supply even as the initial batches got used up and now we are out until the new guy fixes that murderous BS.
that anyone would be bowing to this monster still til this moment is why we needed to get his hide nailed to the barn asap.

Well, if I were King, I'd abolish the war on drugs and encourage legitimate business to handle the manufacturing, distribution, and retailing of whatever mind altering substances people wish to indulge in. But, insofar as it relates to the wall, I am also in favor of doing whatever can be done to stem the tide of illegal immigration, including the wall, and other steps like making it virtually impossible to get a job as an illegal by having enormous legal penalties for those who employ them.

    But maybe that's just me?

    were you chanting MAGA!?
taxing the hell out of the wealthy is how we made America great, by investing in the USA. all that stopped after Carter with Reagan.

Kindly address WHAT was said. Who said it is irrelevant. Did they report incorrect facts? Express an opinion you disagree with? Fine, say that, and explain your position. But just dismissing it as codswallop because of which website it came from is not helpful.

If there was no purpose to the pipeline, the people who funded/are funding it would pull the plug without the government telling them they had to. Since they didn't, I must conclude that it's actually something that's useful to our society, and therefore should be allowed to be completed. IOW, let the market decide, not some bureaucrat with an agenda.

Fact is EVERY ONE of those jobs, and more, can be transferred, immediately (either in training or directly) to constructing the required green infrastructure.

PV/wind farms on a fraction of desert in the US, backed by pumped hydro and batteries, can supply all US energy requirements.

Time to close down the filthy fossil industry.

Promised or not, the fact remains that by doing so, he eliminated many thousands of jobs that would have otherwise been created. In addition to that, he used some idealogical principal to get rid of something that apparently our society needs. Or at least the people who invested in it's creation thought it would be needed and useful, otherwise they would have just spent their money elsewhere. Why build a pipeline that isn't needed and/or useful, assuming the ultimate goal is to profit from that investment? Now, if it turns out they're wrong, and we don't need it after all, then it won't get used, and the profits they anticipated from the investment won't materialize. But that's their problem, not mine. Or yours.

How exactly did he do that? Sounds like he's a miracle worker, even if the miracle is a bad thing.

No, don't let the market decide. The market will never deal with the stranded fossil assets (a cool $100 trillion globally, by some estimates)

Only government can make a just transition to green happen.

    Er...you need cash to invest?

But actually we now know a nation with a sovereign currency-issuing government doesn't need to take money from rich people, in order to invest in public infrastructure or other public enterprise (see MMT).

    And it's not just keystone.

SUCKERS! Biden’s pause on oil cause for big concern in New Mexico.

Gee, just prior to that New Mexico was so proud that they had shot themselves in the foot.
Don't worry COVID relief, day 1! Err, maybe sometime in April.
    Your state voted for him.
Fkn brilliant, I'm sure Joe will sign that!

The oil and gas industry is NM's top economic driver. Aside from driving revenues to the state’s coffers, the industry supports about 100,000 direct and related jobs. Tell them to learn to code. Then they can compete against Indian and Pakistan IT folks here on work visas, it will be fun!
    Gee, you think?

Biden's climate change plan will create many green jobs. We are moving jobs around here. It will be expensive but worth it. CO2 is going to cause problems for many many future generations, and we have to bite the bullet now.

He said he would do it, he won the election on the basis that he would do it....and he has done it. Why cry about the bloke doing what he said he would do, if elected?

So you’ve been tested ten times right ? Cause that is the ridiculous claim.

Wow, instead of being uninformed, you could always look it up.
19 per thousand is a far cry from everyone getting tested 10 times.
So well over 90% aren’t getting tested. If this math is too hard, let us know.

If you were serious, you’d take away their ( immigrant ) job market. You’d register everyone and make employees pay 15 bucks an hour to Americans to encourage Americans to work at the same jobs. You’d also see that Americans had a better education to fill jobs.
