So, Biden's team wanted to know:

The total number of N95 masks, plastic gloves and syringes available nationwide; the availability of nurses to administer millions of doses of vaccines next year; terms of vaccine contracts with pharmaceutical companies; access to existing databases on testing, vaccinations and protective gear, and more.

Trump's team's response: Ignored the request. Basically the message is: "look it up on your own" although only a fraction of the info needed is public records, and even that fraction doesn't contain enough details.

Great. Trump continues to play politics with the lives of Americans. What a despicable sociopath!

Biden is following the pandemic playbook that the Obama administration *handed* Trump in 2016. I'm not sure what talk and rhetoric you're referring to?

This is what you are fighting.
One side thinks wanting to be informed makes you a loser.

Point being, they talked like they knew everything before. Only now they want all the particulars to make an informed decision. This is what they elected. That's on them, not us.

Yes, it is necessary to know how much PPE is available, for example, in order to make an informed decision about whether it is sufficient.

It takes willful effort to avoid the fact that the pandemic playbook existed in 2016 and directly addresses all the things we are currently struggling with as a country. It takes willful effort to avoid acknowledging that Obama tried to position the incoming Trump administration for success with a pandemic.

It's really hard to read the playbook and not be ****ing pissed off.

    Give it a shot:

    First Politico Article

"The NSC devised the guide — officially called the Playbook for Early Response to High-Consequence Emerging Infectious Disease Threats and Biological Incidents, but known colloquially as “the pandemic playbook” — across 2016. The project was driven by career civil servants as well as political appointees, aware that global leaders had initially fumbled their response to the 2014-2015 spread of Ebola and wanting to be sure that the next response to an epidemic was better handled."

Playbook for Early Response to High-Consequence Emerging Infectious Disease Threats and Biological Incidents

An example of Decision Cascades from Page 44:

"Is there sufficient PPE for healthcare workers who are providing medical care?"
If YES: What are the triggers to signal exhaustion of national supplies? Are Additional Supplies Available?
If NO: Should the Strategic National Stockpile release PPE to states?

Our president is staging a coup de tat as phase II ramps up, looking like it will make phase I a mere appetizer.

We just watched a bit on El Paso. They are starting to ship out patients to other communities. A nurse at an El Paso hospital was pleading with her fellow citizens to just wear a mask.

Our front line workers are exhausted.

President temper tantrum goes golfing and won't allow the next leader to start planning.

We are at a million new cases in this country, every 5-6 days.

Where are the republicans in Congress? Why are they allowing this? It's emergency 25th amendment time.

We have known President Trump is a malignancy on our country.

But what is really the problem is that the Republican are either too mercenary or too terrified to speak out and do their job for American people.

This pit of cowardice from Republicans is what the GOP has fallen to.
