The scary thing is that the Islamo-fascists are trying in their own sick way to "modernize" Islam by injecting an ideological element into it (defining the TRUE way to be a Muslim and to deal with the non-Muslim world). This also allows them to justify any crime, even if they have to grossly distort the meaning of certain passages of the Quran in order to make those justifications. Their success would be like some rabid Calvinist group somehow making all Christians tow their line in the 1600s (after slaughtering all those who didn't give in to them).

 

Not more than a hand full has been water boarded and none have died from it. How many bombs have gone off and people died from it? How many heads have been cut off.

I am glad Maher pointed out we aren't living in past history. Christianity is nothing like it was. Islam is still living as it did in history. That isn't saying all Muslims are bad, but even if it's just 2% that do this stuff, when you have over a billion and a half Muslims, that's a lot of bad people.

That's bull. We know what kind of evil past Christianity has. But it's not like that now and we aren't living in the past. Christianity has changed, Islam hasn't. How hard is that for some on the Left to understand?

Islam is not "living", neither is any other religion. Islam did not make bombs and cut off heads, people did.

 

Your right Robert. The New Testament was against burning people at the stake, or feeding them to the lions. People became more in tuned to what the the New Testament said and meant. Like those without sin, cast the first stone. But Islam hasn't got anything like the New Testament. They are still going by the words meant for two thousands years ago and that is what is wrong with Islam.

And in fact, there are branches of christianity and judaism which are living in the past. The jews in Israel for instance, beleive a 4000 year old book, which tells them they have divinity over an area of the ME, and they are prepared to murder to maintain it.

People did because of what the Koran calls for. There is no New Koran as there is a New Testament. Christians can't go to the New Testament and pick out sentences that advocate murdering anyone. You can in the Koran and that is why it is so easy to convert Muslims into terrorist.
