Despite it's mainstream appeal, modern conservatism, as practiced in the United States has a black, satanic aspect. The personification of this aspect is Timothy McVeigh. On April 19, 1995, McVeigh , an ex-Army soldier, blew up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. McVeigh had the following, attributes, many of which he shares in common with members of the black, satanic faction of conservatism

    1. White male
    2. Bullied in school
    3. Frustrated at not being able to find a girlfriend
    4. Sexually frustrated
    5. Compensated for various frustrations by an obsession with guns
    6. Registered Republican
    7. Angry at US government

All of these toxic attributes combined to create a black, satanic, combustible mixture that resulted in the Oklahoma City bombing.

I like guns and hate the government; what are you going to do? Report me? Call me a terrorist? Have me arrested? I have no plans to go on a rampage but what do you care? I mean, we're all the same right?

You haters of freedom are the goofiest people.

    What is your problem anyway?

Essentially, these types of people attempt to compensate for their perceived impotence and the resulting essential castration through violence. For them, violence is not a last resort, it is an essential component of how they express themselves. It is how they are able to compensate for their lack of inner strength.

Therefore, it is not a surprise that they support political candidates that over rely on violence as a solution to the problems of the world.

Nope....neither a democrat or a liberal. Though people like you have made it very difficult to remain Republican. And, though I own a gun, I do not love it...I am however glad I have it. I may not agree with everything the Government does, but I do not hate it...in fact I understand the need for it.

Interesting that you select one individual who just happened to hate our overbearing government to use as an example of how Conservatives or Republicans in general are to be painted with this broad brush. You must be quite happy and perhaps an ardent supporter of Obama and his collectivist policies that are draining and over regulating our private businesses dry and out of business. Now, as a card carrying member of the common sense Party or the Republican Party, I can say that I have just as much angst toward our overpowering government as did Mr. Tim. But to suggest that we Republicans or we Conservatives are going to storm Washington D.C. with guns firing or bombs exploding would be nothing short of lunacy. Besides, bombing our government buildings is an act that would be more conducive to the expert abilities of someone like a leftist named Bill Ayers, and Bill Ayers now has tenure as a professor at one of America's universities. I guess the leftist Ayers got a little more lucky than did Tim McVeigh...eh?

It is certainly irrational to believe that violence is the primary means to solving problems.

An arguable point but irrelevant to the issue.

Given the right mix of people anything is arguable. However the truth is the truth.

Over and above that, your "irrational" assertion was offered without proof. I openly challenge you to support your "irrational" claim.

Well let's take a look at that shall we?

To my response that McVeigh voted Libertarian, you responded with this quote:

So I don't know what the source of this nonsense is, but you seem to give it some weight since you thought it was an appropriate reply. The quote is basically making the comparison that this is the typical activist Republican:

    - Attend gun shows
    - in a militia
    - in government bashing internet forums (huh? Is this one?)
    - in radical anti-abortion groups
    - anti tax rallies
    - goes to klan rallies
    - has a survivalist cabin
    - “The Turner Diaries” and “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”
    - Reads Tom Clancy novels
    - listen to Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh
    - reads Drudge Report
    - fire off angry, often obscenity-filled e-tirades to liberal Web sites

So just to be clear, you think that represents the typical activist Republicans? I look at this list, and by extension your reasoning skills, and roll my eyes at this level of absurdity. Frankly, I think laying out the craziness of your position pretty clearly demonstrates that your thinking is of the most extremist, irrational type.

Fair enough. Let's take it from there. First of all you have ignored that you FIRST asked

The list that you just posted are ACTIVITIES that this type of conservative engages in. The point is that there is a particular flavor of conservatism, that targets and appeals to angry white men, that is dangerous. It is violent and evil. What it has to do with conservatism is that modern conservatives deliberately appeal to, inflame, and exploit the anger in these types of people. It is a fact, and this statement by a prominent conservative is proof

Therefore there is nothing irrational about what was posted.

I'm thinking that you are honestly not seeing how stupid your list is.

First of all, lets go to the “The Turner Diaries” and “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." These have nothing to do with conservatism. I don't expect you'll find them on the reading list of any prominent conservative sites. But then, you include, reading the Drudge Report. Something that millions of liberals do as well. Basically you are just making this up. This would be like me making up a list of a typical liberal that reads something like this"

-hates God; wants all Christians put to death
-sings The Internationale every morning before breakfast
    -hates America
    -wants all military veterans executed

    Do you take my point?

After it has been clearly pointed out to you, your refusal to acknowledge that modern conservatives deliberately attempt to inflame and exploit the anger in a certain class of white males is either ignorant at best, or diabolical deceit at worse.

Again, the point is that modern conservatism has to be viewed in the context of what it's current proponents practice. One of the things that they practice is inflaming and exploiting anger in white males. It is dangerous and evil. By side stepping this issue you are either ignorant or practicing diabolical deceit.
