The kids were 16 years old. Those old enough to have a stun gun or any combination of the self-defense weapons listed in previous posts here. You're right though.. if the situation is that dangerous, he shouldn't be on the bus, and the school officials are to blame for allowing this volatile situation to occur. If they knew about these kids dealing drugs, why were they even going to school ? Why were THEY on that bus ?

They live in a society that won't hire their parents because of their skin color, perpetuating a cycle of poverty. Poor people are more likely to settle disputes with violence. Rather than smearing them, why not try to get their parents a job and break that cycle?
