Blackburn, Cotton Hit Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Support for Critical Race Theory, 1619 Project

Several Republican Senators in Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing noted her recent support for Critical Race Theory and the “1619 Project,” both of which assert that the U.S. and its Constitution were founded on racism.

As Breitbart News has reported, Judge Jackson gave a lecture in 2020 in which she said she had been inspired by Critical Race Theory and its founder, Derrick Bell, who believed the Constitution was racist. She also praised the “1619 Project” of the New York Times, which fraudulently claimed that the American Revolution was fought to defend slavery. In addition, she praised a Black Lives Matter protest in 2016 against police officers who were ultimately found not to have broken the law…

It is good that this part of her history and record is being explored. How can she say she’s objective and a believer in the constitution if she also thinks it to be a racist document? CRT and 1619 propaganda are by their nature anti American.

 

She should not be confirmed on the basis of her support for CRT, BLM, and 1619 propaganda.

 

Yeah, she will be confirmed eventually. The grandstanding from the GOP will not matter.

She will indeed be confirmed! No doubt about that! Democrats don't care if they pick an America-hating, hyperliberal, 'woke' radical to sit on the Supreme Court -- just as long as whatever they pick is BLACK and has female 'plumbing'....

And no one should be surprised -- after all -- it was a 'slam-dunk' from the beginning. One lib leaves the court, and another one arrives to take his place. It's essentially the same process you employ with any Democrat toilet. You fill it with sh*t, flush it, and then you refill it with sh*t again.

IDK, but if the past is any indicator, these people who move up to be juctices for the supreme court seem to all mellow out when they get there. During nominations, all this stuff gets brought up along with how "conservative" or "liberal" they are, but when they get in the hot seat, they all do their job correctly.

Even the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court himself, John Roberts -- who is supposedly Conservative -- single-handedly (and illegally) rewrote Obamacare, changing it from a 'mandate' to a 'tax', so that this socialized-medicine farce could have the pretense of being 'constitutional'. Now there's an excellent example of just how much damage one (ONE) rogue Supreme Court Justice can do if given the chance....

So, how much damage could some up-front radical Leftist Justice do when we already know that she supports Critical Race Theory, the "1619 Project", leniency for child-pornography, and other America-hating sabotage and idiotic filth...?!

There won’t be the bitter acrimony like what democrats did to the last two justices confirmed or to Thomas but her record will be thoroughly discussed before her confirmation.

Your example is exactly what I'm talking about. If you go back and study the confirmation hearing for Roberts, I'll bet there were Democrats who were opposed because he was "too conservative". Thanks for pointing it out!
I don't think just anyone would be a great supreme court justice, but they all gravitate towards the middle eventually.

 

Yeh that’s expected to happen when a hyper partisan cult pushes through a justice rapidly and again when they push one through against the will of the people.

Not that Republicans care about the legitimacy of the court as long as they can impose their will.

I once would have listened to concerns by the right but I no longer care.

Everything the Republicans have done regarding the court was within the constitution and followed traditional norms as to what happens when a president and senate majority are different or the same in an election year.
