As a matter of fact, that message coming from GOP lawmakers is exactly what is causing the current situation.

The Haitians are under the impression that the border is open. Why? Because that's all you hear from Republican law-makers. Every time they open their mouth, they say the border is open. Can they not realize they are making the situation worse by spreading such fake information? Maybe they WANT to make it worse in order to score political points. If these people voted Republican and actually contributed to Western civilization (instead of demolishing it), Biden would have armed forces all along the border and nobody would get in.

 

That doesn't make any sense given the fact that Cubans (who voted Republican) were lured in for decades with a promise of automatic green card & citizenship, and Democrats did nothing to stop it. On the contrary, Carter agreed to let an exodus of Cubans to come in in 1980 during the Mariel boatlift. Castro, being cunning commie, injected hard core criminals into the mix and many ended up in South Florida.

Back then they didn't just say "the border is open" to play politics, they meant it. The border WAS officially open for them (but only them) and any Cuban who came in was promised a green card and citizenship.

The law expired about 5 years ago, so now the door is closed, but it was the official policy since the 1960s and allowed 2.7 million Cubans to came in. I know some who have been here 50+ yrs and dont speak a word of English.
