Controversial British MP George Galloway got his comeuppance when he returned to Oxford University Monday night.

The pro-Hamas politician was last witnessed storming out of a debate with a student there in February when he learned of the student’s Israeli nationality.

This time around he wasn’t afforded such freedom of movement.

Video was captured of a student approaching “the MP for Bradford West whilst he intoned a speech in Hebrew and gesticulated angrily at Mr Galloway,” wrote Cherwell, the Oxford University student newspaper.

The student, identified as Jonathan Hunter, carried an Israeli flag which elicited enough fear in Galloway that he warned the student to “back off,” wrote Cherwell.

Hunter then reproached Galloway for his behavior during his last visit to Oxford, telling him: “I think you did a lot of harm by not speaking to my friend Eylon [Aslan-Levy] and not having a constructive dialogue with him” before informing him he did not in fact have a question for him, “because I don’t debate with racists,” after which he walked out of the debating chamber waving his flag.

On his Facebook page, Aslan-Levy applauded Hunter, writing, “Jonathan Hunter is my new hero.” Galloway took to social media in a little less benevolent manner, tweeting after the event “…and we’ve found the fool of the night!”

Galloway has made no secret in the past of his hostility towards Israel, even going so far as to claim the Jewish state provided chemical weapons to al-Qaeda which he claimed were used in an attack against Syrian civilians near Damascus in August. The United States and Israel concluded the regime of Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the attack; a UN fact-finding mission, while not assigning blame, provided strong circumstantial evidence that pointed in the direction of Syrian government culpability, not al-Qaeda’s.

The Israeli student behaved like a bullying indignant clown. Is that sort of irrational behavior truly to be admired, HBendor? He didn't ask an intelligent question when given the opportunity and he didn't make any kind of statement that included a reference to neutral factual material. Grandstanding is grandstanding, regardless of the cause the grandstander is supporting.

 

Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The indignation by Hunter was exactly so (you blindly misconstrued) confronting a RACIST MP Gallow away who declared openly and I intend corrigendum to post some more of his LOWLY DECLARATIONS against the Jews...
Everyone accepted this as a brave behavior of a proud Israeli against all odds except of course one Skeptic-f.

HBendor applauds the triumph of incoherent indignance over reasoned debate. I guess HB would have approved even more if the student had pulled out a gun and got rid of Galloway like his soulmate disposed of Rabin all those years ago.

 

In my opinion, States in the Middle East should be busier promoting Commerce, well regulated; and generating revenue.

Nice to see you admit it HBendor, assuming you weren't indulging in sarcasm as a substitute for actually analyzing the behavior of the Israeli student in question. I particularily liked the use of Hebrew in a meeting/debate being conducted in English.

The student sounds like a dickhead but that does nothing to defend Galloway.
Galloway the bar*ed (read * as star), has managed several wives, many without a legal wedding and at least two without any type of divorce.
He claims to be Catholic but has had at least three Muslim weddings.
As part of a Muslim wedding; you must say the Muslim declaration of faith and, as 2 Muslim male witnesses must attend a wedding., that makes him a Muslim.
However, he denies this so, if no such wedding has taken place, his wife is a whore.

I'd love to get onto one of his talk shows and confront him with that.

Jews and Israelis are pursuing the right of <self determination> and no one I repeat, no one on this planet will deter us from reaching that goal.

 

If Galloway opposes the policies of Israel then he has every right to do so in his capacity as politician and orator, but in order to be taken seriously, especially as a politician, he needs to do damage control and cleanup in regards to his discriminatory statement made at Oxford which is what prompted this latest exchange.

He just needs to say something like, "I do oppose the policies of Israel, but I should not have dismissed a debate with another person on the grounds of their Israeli nationality, and I am sorry."

Galloway can either deal with it or go have a drink with Godfrey Bloom.
