A look at the interactive map shown here shows that there is more poverty in Los Angeles by total numbers and by percentage of population than anywhere else in state. Also the big coastal urban areas are poverty central within this state. And they have sheer nerve and unmitigated gall to call us inland and rural counties poor and unable to support ourselves.

I think that the people that get welfare should have to take a drug test since we the people that go to work to pay for the welfare have to take a drug test

It's better information than you'll get from a fake news outlet. Draw your own conclusions from the the information. That's going to be tough for Democrats that can't get past a headline.

This is based on a report from FALL 2021…! How desperate you must be….!

And what you fail to notice is that it demonstrates the exact opposite of what you were hamfistedly trying to show! It is only the safety nets that are keeping those rural counties afloat….you know, that ‘nanny state’ stuff that you right-wingers continually moan about…!

Lol…it’s harder for rightwingers who can’t face reality and keep spouting dishonest partisan bullshit.

    Very interesting data.

Have you done the same research exercise for other states?

Like Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Louisiana, West Virginia, Wyoming, North Dakota?

... And so many other red states that are languishing in the depths of poverty.

In fact, 18 of the 20 poorest states are red.

And California isn't one of them.

    Did you know that?

I've seen some fail threads, but this one takes the cake. LOL

The OP posts a link from 2021 as a current event and the link doesn't even show what the OP is claiming. Do reds know how to read graphs and understand data? Just curious.

You know this just highlights the reality that progressives are the best at wealth disparity, right? LOL.

If California has a GDP that is the 4th largest in the world...yet has roughly 30 percent living in poverty, the largest population of homelessness and companies who are in charge of cleaning human feces off the streets...ya. You that's wealth disparity.

    You get that right?

When you brag about the GDP of California but then the reality is that 30 percent of people are living in poverty with tent cities on the streets that's wealth disparity.

The chart was posted in this thread ffs.

    upload_2023-1-30_10-52-20.png

*increase in poverty with no safety net. Which means that you have 30 percent of people who are earning below poverty levels and require assistance. Which MEANS...income inequality. They are not earning enough on their own.

    Understand now?

No. You made up your claim, and the statistics cited do not affirm it.

My claim...California the progressive paradise...has the world's 4th highest GDP...and yet 30 percent of the population earns below the poverty line. If there WASN'T income inequality, they wouldn't require social systems to assist them.

The graph is clear...you could quibble that it isn't technically 30 percent and only 27 percent or something stupid. But beyond that, you have no point.
