Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau urges capitalist democracies to unite against China

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is calling on democratic nations to "show a united front" against China to prevent the Communist nation from "playing us off each other."

Capitalist democracies compete against each other in a free market economy, but Trudeau states that “We’ve been competing and China has been from time to time very cleverly playing us off each other in an open market competitive way."

"We need to do a better job of working together and standing strong so that China can’t, you know, play the angles and divide us one against the other," he told Canada's Global News during an end-of-the-year interview.

He urged capitalist countries to stand together against Beijing and say, "No, coercive diplomacy is not alright."…

On this most important foreign policy issue at least, the PM of Canada is exactly right. Communist China is a pariah state, a genocidal regime, and evil empire. The western and Asian free market capitalist democracies must stand United and put up a solid front against that regime. Authoritarian regimes in the past have used political and economic issues to divide us at times and we must resist their efforts now.

The five eyes English speaking capitalist democracies, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States must lead in this NATO like containment effort.

I’ve said for many years now, we need to shut it down. We need to bring back making things here. We need to promote technology here. We need to cut manufacturing ties to the commies and bring them back here.

Sadly there is much truth to your comment particularly Australia and New Zealand and to some extent Canada. As well as blue city and blue state America.

 

We are a constitutional republic with a representative form of democracy with constitutional checks on the powers of the branches and the federal government in particular regarding the states and the people.

 

China is running 10-20 years ahead of us on this. We will soon have CCTV covering every inch of every city, tracking everyone's movements and using machine learning to automate human engineering through social credit systems.

And we will thank them for the privilege. Security is a more powerful force than liberty.

What the US has been doing, building an alliance network around China to contain them? Which in turn should fuel Chinese attempts to break free from said containment. Which means sinophobia will increase.

 

I suggest you stop buying Chinese goods NOW! Laptops, clothes, shoes, tableware, carpets, ovens, smartphones, all kind of trinkets... you name it.
