Canadian Trustee who wants no nudity at Gay Pride is targeted

And for the 5th time- since people seem to have a really hard time understanding my position:

Toronto has a Gay Pride Parade.
Some people get nude during the parade
A trustee suggested that police enforce Toronto's anti-nudity ordinances
Some people criticized him for his stance.

That is the situation in Toronto.

And here is my position:
a) I don't have an objection to Pride Parades
b) I think that local municipalities can and should decide on how to enforce their own nudity laws
c) I don't think that anyone has the 'right' to be nude in public- but I also don't think that nudity in and of itself is offensive.
d) I support the right of this trustee to his opinion
e) I also support the right of those who disagree with him to their opinion.
f) Nudity in a parade is not an exclusively 'gay' thing- people get nude.
g) The objection appears to be that there is nudity at a gay parade- not that there is a parade with nudity.

 

do you really need to be reminded with pictures, what goes on at a gay pride parade? We aren't talking about walking naked... simulated sex... nudity, phalic representations...

I'm concerned with parents who are trapped by parade routes, or gay scout masters telling parents "and we'll finish with a parade" while neglecting to tell them its a simulated sex content parade. A scout master saying "the parade starts at 9pm" will raise flags and give parents a warning as to what kind of parade they are allowing their kids to goto. but a "parade at 9am" sounds normal.

Unlike yourself- I have actually been to a gay pride parade- multiple ones actually. I have seen many nude men and women at the parades- though the vast majority of people in the parade- and watching the parade are fully clothed.

Unlike yourself- I have actually been to gay pride parades, and so I am very aware that no child sees any nudity in the parade without either parental approval, or parental neglect- nobody 'accidentally' watches one of these parades-they are too crowded for that.

You seem obsessed with making this claim- apparently you believe that a parade's only purpose is to propagandize children.

But you do have one thing right- Pride Parades are about proclaiming that there is nothing deviant about men loving men or women loving women.

That is why one of the most important part of every Pride Parade are the proud "Parents of Gays and Lesbians"- marching to acknowledge that they accept and love their children.

 

Well, I can only assume they want to encourage children to accept sodomy.

What death threats?
So, I looked at the OP- no death threats there.

I looked at Sam's website(the trustee)- no death threats there.

I did a google search- didn't find any death threats there either.

I am not saying that someone couldn't have made a death threat against this trustee- people do stupid things all the time- but I can't find actual source that says that this happened.

So the next time any of you want to talk about the homosexuals making death threats to Sam Sotiropoulos because of his position on nudity- please go ahead and give the source of that claim.

First of all I have no tolerance for 'death threats' by anyone- if death threats are being made, the persons making them should be prosecuted.

But I see nothing about death threats- I see criticism on Twitter and angry phone calls- to a public servant. Is he supposed to be free from criticism?

People who make death threats for any reason are stupid criminals who should be prosecuted. I just haven't seen any evidence that that happened.

Matter of fact- there was no mention of 'death threats' in this thread in February....or March.....or April.....not until May 7 when Javis made this claim:

If you have an article from February 10- 3 days before the article that Sec quoted was posted- feel free to share with us.

can it be any other parade without naked people such as the one shown, if the answer is yes then why target just gay parades?

This guy has every right in the world to state his opinion on the nudity at the parade, just as others have every right to answer his opinion with an opposing one.

The only pushback I see is when the parade doesn't align with your opinion.
