Capitol Police whistleblower memo lays out Jan. 6 'intelligence failures' on Pelosi watch

Just three days after the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, one of the Capitol Police's top intelligence analysts sent a blistering email to supervisors, blowing the whistle on what he said was their failure to heed clear intelligence warning that right-wing rioters planned to storm the Capitol.

"We analysts have been reporting for weeks that Patriot groups are commenting on social media their intentions to storm the U.S. Capitol with overwhelming numbers," Eric Hoar wrote in the Jan. 9, 2021 email to his bosses. "I don't know what was occurring behind the scenes, but I hope that information was briefed with the veracity it deserved, and not just a one-time Event Assessment."

Hoar wrote he feared political considerations had overtaken security needs in the lead-up to the riot.

the people at his speech to go home when he was done speaking?

Yeah, Pelosi was the problem on Jan 6th. She should have done something about all those "tourists" they were told were going to be there.
Seriously, make up your mind on what was going on that day!!

 

Two wrong actions can be true at the same time ya know. No one said that Pelosi pushed the rioters into the capitol (although there IS evidence that police LET people into the Capitol). But if she was informed about what may happen (I say "may" as I'm talking pre 1/6), and she did not push for more security to handle the threat, then she is partly responsible that rioters actually got into the Capitol. More security would have prevented people from entering the Capitol. That is a fact. She is not responsible for their actions, but she is responsible for not calling for more security. (this is assuming that she had been informed of the possibility...not saying she was)

What the rioters did was wrong and unforgivable imo. They should be charged with all appropriate crimes in a Fair and Just way.

 

Had the capitol police intelligence been listened to and acted upon, there would have been no incursion into the capitol building that day. It’s likely that the presence of extra security there that day would would have prevented any incursion from happening.

 

And you are not even remotely curious as to the reason that such gathered intelligence was in acted upon by those in position to do so? Was optics really more important to them than actual security?

So you're absolutely sure that if there had been a few more (BTW, how many more do you think were needed.....having the gift of hindsight and all) police there they would have been able to stop a mob that was chanting to hang the Vice President of the United States. Again, all of this isn't the point. The point is why were all those police needed? Remind me please.

If the number Trump had asked for and initiated the process for the whole incursion would have been prevented. But that is not what the deep state wanted…

No what an investigation will uncover is that Pelosi refused assistance through the HSA on Jan 6. That’s why she’s refusing to release their communications. Because on Jan 6 assistance and an emergency declaration were requested from both the HSA and the SSA. The SSA responded immediately in the affirmative. The HSA never responded after three repeated attempts at requests for assistance and an emergency declaration.

Now is it possible the HSA took it upon himself to refuse to respond? Sure, but I’d be willing to bet the house the HSA did his job and informed the House Speaker what was requested of him and her office never directed them to assist.

 

Wait......what? What did Trump ask for?

 

The Chief of the Capitol Police testified and has stated openly that had his request for the extra security been there, as was being furiously offered by multiple agencies, so there were no weak spots in the perimeter the people who started the riot would not have been able to breech the Capitol forcing a halt to the proceedings.

Why wasn't it there?

 

It does show that they did not anticipate the riot. Thats because the actions of these thugs were inconsistent with those you call "trumpists". .

 

That is the question we must get the answer out of Pelosi after the new year.

 

Real Trump supporters had met peacefully for years even in the face of violent opposition from the BLM/Antifa left so there was no reason to suspect anything different. As to hard core antifa/BLM type violence coming from hard right groups, Trump did what he was supposed to do, Pelosi did not.

 

Remember how you were so pissed when those cops didn't enter the school even though they knew a mass shooter was in there and shooting the place up? This is the same thing. If Pelosi was told by intelligence agencies of the threat, and she chose optics over security, then yes, she is just as bad as those cops that didn't save those children that were shot up.

 

Why didn’t trump cancel the rally if everyone knew his folks would riot like that???

Pelosi, the Majority Leader is not in charge of security and neither is Mitch McConnell the Minority Leader.

Neither one has the authority to call up the National Guard.

That DECISION is made by the Capital Police Board and the House and Senate Sargent at Arms.
