Would castration reduce prison inmate violance? Traditionally, everyone that went to prison got routinely castrated. This was abandoned in modern times, but it may have served a purpose, that is to reduce violance in a crowded environment. Was probably introduced by agricultural logic in that castrated animals claim less territory than non-castrated ones. So, do you think that routine (or post-violance) castration of prison inmates would be beneficial for their safety as well as staff (and maybe society after their release)?
