Soooo....he spent some money....got some votes.....in the primary....

What on Earth does that have to do with the General Election? Those voters who voted in the Dem primary were going to vote Dem in the GE, net gain very little for any money he spends.

Bloomer failed, don't take advice from him.

Impressive, Trump took out a politician titan like HRC who also had a war chest 50% bigger than his. Cool.

Your eyesight is letting you down again.
It was @Paul7 that said Trump spent 70 million.

Trump contributed another $10 million to his presidential campaign in the closing days of the election, bringing his total investment in the race to $66.1 million, new filings confirm.

Trump’s campaign still had $7.6 million in leftover money in its bank account as of Nov. 28,

When I say maybe I would point out where he stayed and how he flew.

I've mentioned my mother-in-law a couple times here. She suffered a series of strokes back in December of 2017. She hasn't really done anything since. In fact, she pretty much resides in a room in a health facility and the only time she leaves is when my wife and I visit her, the nurses put her in a wheel chair, and take her to the Shakey's next door.

We visited her there this morning - we usually go once a week on Saturdays. It's an hour trip one way. When we visited today, there were signs all over the place stating that if we were experiencing any cold-like symptoms, perhaps one should re-schedule one's visit. Also, when we came in the receptionist made us sign papers stating we were in good health, had not been in contact with anyone who had been overseas in the past couple of weeks, and then pointed some kind of gun-like electronic object at our heads that took our temperature. Yeah, it's safe to say they're taking it seriously - especially since the average age of a patient there seems to be about 80, none of them are in anything like good health, many of them are suffering from some kind of mental issue, and should the Coronavirus appear there I'd say the odds of someone surviving there look grim. But then again, I'd say the same thing about nearly any strain of flu introduced into that environment also.

You're right that quarantining the patients into their room would doom them, just a bit slower. My MIL's only real contact with the outside world is with us. I myself, many years ago, was confined to a hospital room for months unable to raise my head and the loneliness - it can easily sap the will. Your post is absolutely correct. Much as it may seem that quarantining them is the safe thing to do, ultimately it will doom them just the same - and quite possibly faster.

Now imagine a Democrat saying the Russians did.

Shorty B spent I dunno how much on ads running non-stop that ultimately got him - what? American Samoa. And the Russians spent far, FAR less on FB ads and somehow won the election for Trump.

Ultimately what Bloomberg did was prove the whole Russian Conspiracy plot to be a - ah, how would you put it? A part of the LW fever-swamp.

This is a reply to lonestargirl.

10 million people are going to be in some kind of lock down in italy. Maybe we avoid the worst somehow. Maybe it warms up and we get a spring miracle. Or this becomes regional with the less populous colder northern part of the country getting hit hard. Although having to lockdown new York would be bad.

The economic fallout will be severe. If northern italy is on lockdown, Germany isn't far behind. And then France and the uk. Monday will be brutal for the market. I wonder if the "circuit breakers" kick in and trading is halted.

I didn't see that they only tested 46 on the cruise ship, but they did quarantine everyone for 2 weeks minimum to look for symptoms. They were only sending "presumed positive" tests to CDC. That means that someone would be showing symptoms and test negative for the flu or other virus. People who test negative for flu or anything else we know about are "presumed positive" for coronavirus and those cultures were going to CDC.

The CDC has been approving private labs to conduct tests. Now that we have about a million test kits shipped, it would be impossible for the CDC to run verification of results in Atlanta. So, yes, state labs and private labs (as they get approval) will be testing going forward.

The economic fallout will be worse than the physical health impacts of the virus. A global financial crisis is what people should worry about, for people who are natural-born worriers.

In New York yesterday, Cuomo warned citizens who are under "voluntary quarantine" that he can make their quarantine mandatory. Apparently New Yorkers who have been asked to quarantine themselves are not following orders. Cuomo is hiring more government employees to go knock on doors several times a day to make sure people aren't leaving. The State of Emergency he issued yesterday will allow him to hold non-compliant people forcibly. He is planning to test lots of people....which will produce more positives (and likely end up with a panic in New York...and overreach by government there). Anyway, if he locks people down at home, there is less risk of overwhelming the hospitals.

Italy had an increased in 1200 cases in 24 hours. Looks like 16 million in Italy are quarantined as a result of that jump. They shut large gathering events and schools. Restaurants and bars will be open 6am to 6pm.

The heads of Italian provinces were not informed ahead of time and some are complaining that a measure that appears scientifically disproportionate to the epidemiological trend.

Italy's Universal healthcare system is under stress. They've probably got panicked people showing up with very mild symptoms who are bottlenecking healthcare providers from treating those who need extra care. That happened in China.
