Do you like his agenda? There’s a little something to piss off people in both teams, but if we can convince the middle that sanity is the way forward. It’ll never happen.

But ya, he's good on everything else too.
His positions are not hypocritical. Every policy is max freedom to max people. That’s what I’m all about.

Took a look. I'd be cool with him. The only position I'm totally opposed to is his stance on the death penalty. I think we need to use it far more. But the rest of his views, while not perfectly aligned with me, are close enough that I would be fine with him.
I’ve been wavering on the death penalty my whole life. There was a period of time in Illinois where it seemed every week there was a new story about a death penalty victim was found innocent postmortem. I did a hard turn to “never,” during that time. It was when DNA was starting to gain a lot of traction and many cases were being revisited. Now, as long as we control it to those cases with mountains of credible evidence, I’m okay with it. I believe the mantra that it is better to let 100 guilty men go free than have one innocent man imprisoned. It’s how are system is designed and how I wish it was still applied.
