So not only did Putin play Biden so did the Chinese. Who on his staff came up with this plan and do they still work there?

China shared U.S. intelligence on Ukraine crisis with Russia
Effort failed to gain Beijing's backing for pressure on Putin

China’s government took U.S. intelligence provided to convince Beijing to join American-led efforts to head off a military attack on Ukraine and shared it with Russia, according to a person familiar with the activity.

Intelligence-sharing with a major U.S. adversary is unusual but was part of repeated diplomatic efforts by the Biden administration to gain support from China in dissuading Russian President Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine.

However, the Chinese government repeatedly rebuffed the efforts and instead turned over the intelligence data to Moscow, an indication of the growing ties between
    Beijing and Moscow.

And shared it with Russia, what we knew and what were our plans..............amazing

The "intelligence," was on Russian troop movements, probably satellite imagery-- this is not a compromise to us; Russia, presumably, already knew the location of their troops.

    [SNIP]

The intelligence-sharing, first reported by The New York Times, involved details of large-scale Russian troop movements near Ukraine’s border that would later be used in the military operation to take over Ukraine that began this week.
    [End]

And where do you come up with the idea that any of our "plans," were shared-- that was not in the story; other than, of course, our desire to have China go along with sanctions.

That is no security breach. So why do you seem to take the side of China & Russia-- because you consider our own, President Biden, a greater threat?
    Pathetic.

Worse yet, that a news outlet is playing into Putin's hand; hypocritically, it is they who are working against U.S. interests, by fostering division, when unity is our greatest strength.

This, from both diplomatic corps Russia & Putin expert, Fiona Hill; as well as Russia's former Foreign Minister, Andrei Kozyrev, who now lives in Florida.

Biden planted this info knowing it would be shared, just as probable This is a badly constructed hit piece.

Exactly, this is a non story framed to be a hit piece.

What a shame. If we hadn't helped China help Russia find it's own soldiers, maybe they wouldn't have been able to invade Ukraine. Stupid Biden. I'll bet he also showed China, who then showed Russia, where Ukraine is on the map too.

Not very surprised at all. I’m actually more surprised that Biden and Harris thought it would be a good idea to share intelligence with russias known Ally

Let me highlight another section of you snip. The part I highlighted shows it wasn’t just satellite imagery. It was the planned future movements as well. I think it’s a bad idea to share intelligence with China. They don’t care so why do it anyway?

I think you're misinterpreting the line. To me, it just seems to say that these troops were some of those, at the tip of the spear, in their given area. I would imagine that a military person, looking at how troops were organized (in some cases, not even a military background might be needed), could determine, which ones would lead the attack, and which would constitute, the reserves.

Seems the Democrats on here need someone to help them find the point, since reading comprehension is difficult for them.

The point isn’t that the intelligence sharing compromised anything militarily for us, Ukraine or anyone else. It’s that it was part of a larger effort by Biden to distance China from Russia, and that entire effort failed. The intelligence sharing is merely symptomatic of that overall failure.

That is newsworthy, because China getting closer to Russia carries problems with it in our overall effort in getting Putin to back down from. You know. Killing millions of people.

You folks defending Biden aren't looking at this correctly. Biden shared intelligence with China hoping they'd do something about Russia. Instead of helping out, they said Let's Go Brandon or FJB, and turned everything over to Russia. It doesn't matter what the intelligence was, it matters that China spit in Brandon's face.

Remember what Harris recently said, "you voted for this."

That was possibly the point of sharing it with China - knowing that it would be passed on to the Russians. At the very least it must have been foreseen as a possibility.

Don’t forget that the orange oaf blurted out classified information directly to the Russians in a meeting at the WH. That seems a lot worse than something that was clearly a calculated decision.

That's impossible. Everyone knows that you are supposed to dismiss any story with an anonymous source, right?

But I'll bet telling China that the world is aware of Russia's actions was really detrimental to . . . honestly, I can't even tell what these guys are trying to claim to the point that I can't even mock it anymore. I give up.

Once again, color me unsurprised. As I said in the previous thread on this, we lost nothing by appealing to one of the other global superpowers that reside in the region in an attempt to stave off war. In fact it would have been irresponsible of us NOT to make that appeal.

This is why we don't need a Democrat in the WH. They will never get it.

After one diplomatic exchange in December, U.S. officials got intelligence showing Beijing had shared the information with Moscow, telling the Russians that the United States was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions,

I bet you thought it was a good idea when another Democrat (Milley) called China and told them if the US ever has a plan to attack them, he would give them a heads up.

"President Joe Biden’s administration reportedly tried over the course of three months to get China to help dissuade Russia from attacking Ukraine, including by sharing secret intelligence on Russia’s troop buildup."
    https://americanmilitarynews.com/20...a-to-try-to-stop-russian-invasion-of-ukraine/

And our analysis and yes our response trying to get them to join in. So who came up with that plan and how did it work out?
