Forget your "junk Chinese", but focus on your superb English instead because the learning of the English language really seems so easy to you. If William Shakespeare is still alive today, he would take his hat off to you. Although he was regarded as the greatest writer in the English language, he could never coin such words as "porpelling" and "rubish".

I say forget the superb English and focus on the "Junk Chinese". Personally, I think its incredibly important to study and understand the culture of China. You don't necessarily have to study the language (though I'd highly recommend it as its an incredibly marketable skill to have) but its absolutely impossible to want the US to remain in its current position in the world and ask people to close their mind to outside culture, especially that of, arguably, the most important country in the world at the moment. Like it or not the US and China are inextricably linked economically and politically. Even if you do view them as an enemy, as i'm assuming you do given your anti-China rant, understanding their culture is immeasurably important in your desire to remain higher than them on the food chain.

Grandpa says, "Dat's right - if you kowtow to the Chinese Emperor, you may be rewarded with a Chinese princess; but if you pay reverence to the American Emperor, you may find your arm dislocated by behind-the-scenes arm-twisting one day."

You seem to be more Chinese than the Chinese. If there ever any need for kowtow to find a last refuge on earth, it will find it in your mind.

If you ask students in China what kowtow is, many of them don't know the answer. Kowtow, which is quite alike Goshu-zarei, the Japanese formal kneeling bow reserved for the presence of nobility, has long disappeared from Chinese government practice since the fall of the Ching Dynasty. Ironically, the practice still exists outside China, e.g. in Cambodia.

Even bowing, a traditional form of less reverence, is not customary among the Chinese now. Many Chinese never bow in their lifetime. To learn to bow properly, Chinese have to go to Japan.
