Uh, plenty of people in "the Christian era" executed or otherwise physically attacked homosexuals. It was kind of the norm in Christendom for most of its history.

 

Good, since Jesus never said good or bad about gay, then we don't need to worry about what Christians think, for they don't have a basis of opinion based on Jesus. Since the OT is off limits per you.
But Jesus did say, the law is still in effect until heaven and earth pass.

Judges must abide by the constitution, now what some holier than thou that thinks the OT isn't pertinent because it makes them sinners.
They need to be equal to all citizens, not religious wishes.
