    You made a snarky remark that Kwanza was a man made holiday. I’m merely reminding you that they all are. You are free to celebrate Kwanza if you want. My best guess is that you have no idea what it is or how it came to be.

    Christmas has been around for centuries, is celebrated worldwide and has caused wars to have a cease fire in order to observe the day. Kawana was invented in the 60s, I think, and is race specific which makes in non inclusive.

    Let's take all the magic and wonder out of the world for children.... Why don't we eliminate the tooth fairy in the Easter Bunny and any other make believe characters while we're at it.

    Why is it so many on the left refuse to let children simply have a childhood?

    The age of a tradition is irrelevant. Christmas excludes a lot of people. So does Chanukah, and every other religious holiday. Christmas is no longer exclusively a religious holiday, as it incorporates all sorts of traditions developed over the years.

    Kwanzaa is based on African harvest festivals and was a response to the Watts riots as a way to unite disenfranchised people.

    The length of something doesn’t always mean it’s the better thing than the newer thing.

    ~ Where I live in Los Angeles the elementary schools have canceled visits from Santa and any Christmas decorations etc. 1/2 the parents are upset — 1/2 are OK .
    I suggested a "New Improved " WOKE non-binary Santa with chameleon skin and a magic carpet sprinkling fairy dust — no gifts.
    Maybe they will nominate me for School Board President .. ? :xmasrudolph::xmassanta:

    I just checked Wiki to see how they described kwanza and it's word for word what you said. Now why would an African harvest be of interest to anyone in America?

    NYC added Muslim holidays to their school schedule. Those drawings on the wall look like something that would be banned if they had nativity scenes.

    why would you want to do that? Let them find out for themselves... in their own time

    it's a good lesson for children, adults sometimes tell lies, don't believe everything one is told, it's ok to question things
