Though Sean Hannity and others at Fox News have denounced his comments on race, Cliven Bundy doesn’t think he’s lost friends at the network.

In an interview with CNN’s Bill Weir on Thursday night, the Nevada rancher said he thought he and Hannity are “right on” and that he hasn’t been “abandoned” by the network.

The CNN host suggested that Bundy had been abandoned at Fox News, something he said was apparent by the fact that the rancher was appearing on his network and not Fox.

“I don’t think I’ve been abandoned. I think maybe they misunderstood me a little bit,” Bundy said. “But I think Fox and I, I think, Hannity and I are just right on. I have no doubt that he would support me if he understood really what’s in my heart. And I think he does understand me.”

I predict in a week to 10 days, with his phone calls un-returned, he'll start to figure it out.

Probably so, yes. But that depends on Hannity's reaction once he realizes that he was punked my the MSM editing the interview. Most likely though you are correct and Fox News won't risk the immense effort involved in countering leftwing bullet points propaganda on racial issues in order to stand by Bundy. Unlike -- say -- MSNBC that's financially kept afloat by its owner/owners even though it never returns a profit, Fox News is a legitimate cable network and so it has got to continue making a profit. Meh . . . and so it goes.

You're betting on Sean Hannity's intellect???

    :D

And naturally, you think "Bundy said nothing wrong"....despite the fact that everybody on the Right from Sean to Rand Paul to to Glenn Beck to TED CRUZ ....disagrees with you?

It's true that the whole video has points in which Buindy seems much less of a racist. However, it does not excuse someone saying they wonder if the blacks were better off picking cotton, getting beat, and raped than they are on government subsidies. (as if all black people are on government subsidies) In fact, i feel dirty having just typed it.

Actually I agree with you. I think that Hannity is just smart enough to realize after the fact that he got punked by a carefully edited MSN propaganda piece but also just smart enough to realize that neither he nor his bosses are going to want to invest the huge amount of effort that would be required to educate the public considering how much traction the fable got before anyone thought to look at the original and unedited interview.

So relax. This time it looks like sleezy leftwing political propagandists have 'won'. Now ain't that nice?

Have to remember, REPUB....there are some "slavery apologists" on the Right. Neo-Confederates who'll try to make the case "slavery really wasn't as bad as lib'ruls like Beecher Stowe or 'Roots' or '12 Years A Slave' portrayed it".

    Sick, twisted, racist....but it exists.

It's only of academic interest to me as I enjoying watching the processes by which the Left and the Right maneuver around one another. The issue is Constitutional in nature and not about racism. The fact that the Left NEEDED to make it be about racism indicates that -- in my estimation anyway -- the Right was gradually winning the argument sets. So it's interesting . . . .

Once again, the rest of the video, which certainly does make Bundy look better than the clip we saw initially, does not mean he didn't say disgusting things in the initial clip. He did. he also lied about not saying "picking cotton" on Alex Jones radio show. Then, after the video was actually released showing him saying "picking cotton" he just decided to own it and double down on it. He now stands by everything he said.

How did the "Lib'rul Media" "craft" Cliven Bundy into saying what he said?

And if you think Fox and Hannity are too lazy or cowardly to "tell the truth"....how about a guy like TED CRUZ doing it.

Going out there and DEFENDING Cliven, "explaining what he really meant"......or is Ted lazy or COWARDLY too???

He probably has not lost friends in Fo卐. That's because the race card playing right wingers, being a hate filled racist is not a problem. Consider how they still love Ann Coulter despite all the racist comments she has made over the years.

Can you imagine how the Right would be claiming "It's ALL a LIE"....if there was no video? Just the reporter's notes?

Anyone who says the racist remarks have nothing to do with the grazing fees/land dispute are absolutely correct. It doesn't. Then again, imo, looking at all the facts since day 1 of this breaking, I've yet to see any reason to defend this man. Not one solid reason to take his side.

Bundy has no media savvy...he's just too honest about his racism.

Ann knows how to cover it...enough.

    - - - Updated - - -

Great combo for the Right, huh?

    1. Defend a guy by his own admission who's a "welfare queen".

    2. Make a hero of the same guy never anticipating he might be an old racist.

Anyone can be fooled via a carefully edited interview segment and last night one of the Right of Center posters provided a link to the unedited segment in which letwingers reviewing it were 'heard' to whisper in text in their shocked PF replies, "Fork, it WAS edited to make Bundy look like a foam at the mouth racist!"

Oh well . . . but a 'win' is still a win, yes?

I think Bundy is kinda out of his mind and made some really stupid and strange comments. However, I dunno if I buy the racist thing. His bodyguard is black and said he'd take a bullet for him. He said Bundy has been nothing but kind and respectful for him. So while I think Bundy isn't the most intelligent man in the world. He just seems like that crazy old guy we all know who says stupid things. But a full blown racist? I'm not sure I fully buy that.
I'm not supporting Bundy. Just making an observation.

And who's fair and balanced anymore? MSNBC is just a Fox News attack group and CNN is obsessed with the Malaysian jet crash. Fox is a right wing news site with a few black sheep.

MSNBC gets like 20,000 viewers and effects nothing of our political fabric.

Doesn't changes it's bias. I gotta believe it has more viewers than that though.

Fox News, with all it's high ratings, still got owned by Obama twice. If ratings mattered, McCain would be in his second term now.
It's obvious that cable news is a fringe thing.

Leftwingers seem permanently confused about the issue in question. Granted all they ever seem to care about is the color of someone's skin, but that aside the issue is one of constitutional powers versus the right of an individual to do -- oh a number of things. Since they evidently were losing the Constitutional Issues argument they are now cleaving to their traditional battle cry of "Racism!" as if that somehow, magically makes the Constitutional issues vanish. Fascinating.
