    Well the Protestants better make up their mind. Do they believe that the Fathers/Saints that compiled the Bible and decided which writings were truly the World of God were 'Enlightened', or don't they? If they were 'Enlightened', then they had to have been in Holy Tradition as well. They can't have it both ways.

    Look I'm not an elitist. No one should have to change the customs and traditions they're comfortable with. This though doesn't mean the foundations and 'Truths' of Christianity can be twisted in any old way just to suit people's secular desires. Either you are a Christian and accept them or you don't. You can't have it both ways - which is what some Protestant faiths have been trying to do.

    You're funny! Bartolomew would like very much to be a Pope, but it ain't working. As a matter of fact he caused a schism in the Orthodox Church recently by trying to usurp the Church in Ukraine under the Moscow Patriarch and unify the schismatic Churches there under him. No Orthodox Patriarch in the world is supporting him.

    How about this one:

    Matthew 7:3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

    I have news for you. If newspapers and media couldn't be sued, they wouldn't be protecting themselves when lying by using terms such as: 'It's alleged' or 'we believe so' or 'it's assumed'.

    Anyway I did see a video of some newscaster that was blasting the boy and it was removed from YouTube. I couldn't find it later on. I'm going to assume it was NBC but I don't really know. The point is that the media doesn't have the right to destroy someone's life and reputation simply because he was a pro life protester. This is intimidation!

    I would love to see the lawyer Jay Seculow argue this in front of the Supreme Court.

    The confession of Peter is the rock. Peter is Not the rock therefore the entire concept of a pope is a misreading of the bible.

    WASHINGTON POST SHOULD PREPARE TO LOSE THE COVINGTON APPEAL: A federal judge dismissed Nicholas Sandman’s defamation suit Friday, but don’t assume that’s the end of the case. It’s not and the once-respected newspaper’s attorneys and editors better prepare to lose on appeal.

    [IMG]

    When Sandmann appeals, a three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals will consider his arguments. Given the procedural posture of this case—the motion to dismiss stage—Sandmann has solid grounds to argue for reversal.

    That’s because at that stage, the court must read the facts in the light most favorable to Sandmann, and if a reasonable jury could interpret the Post’s statements as defamatory, the court must allow the case to continue. An analysis of Judge Bertelsman’s opinion indicates that he overstepped his bounds in several areas and resolved factual disputes that should have been left for a jury to decide.

    Bertelsman’s opinion began with a summary of the controlling law. In Sandmann’s case, Kentucky law on defamation, in essence, requires him to prove the Post:
    1) made a false and defamatory statement concerning him;
    2) published the statement;
    3) acted negligently;
    4) and either caused him damages or exposed him to “public hatred, ridicule, contempt, aversion, or disgrace.”

    The first area ripe for reversal is Judge Bertelsman’s conclusion that the Post’s articles were not statements “concerning” Sandmann because they referenced the group of students or did not include a name or picture of Sandmann. But, as Sandmann’s attorneys point out, every article included either a link to the viral video of Sandman or a reference to it. And Sandmann was the “face” of those videos.

    Thank's for not answering..

    I think we need to ammend the 1st ammendment regarding the free press.
    It should be a felony to post s false story about an individual i intentional or otherwise.
    It should be a felony to post a video that as in this case falsely portrays what actually happened.
    10 years first offenses at a federal supermax. The sentence goes to every reporter involved in the story and to the CEO and owner of the company.

    Yes posting a false story should 1 ruin the reporters life 2. Cause serious financial devastation to the news organization.

    I would dearly love to see your reaction to the blatantly obvious unintended consequences of your suggestion being implemented.

    It would be entertaining as hell to watch FauxNoise's prime-time lineup (not to mention the Murdoch family), the staff at Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, Project Veritas, InfoWars and El Rushbo doing their perp-walks...

    You forgot, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, BBC, NYT,
    Saturday Night Live, Samantha Bee et all, John Stewart, the list is pretty much endless.

    Our current media is absolutely abhorent. They are making the country worse.
    A media that actually verifies it's stories before it runs them would be an asset our current media is a liability.

    Saturday Night Live, Samantha Bee et all, John Stewart aren't journalists. You want to criminalize satire because your Mango Messiah is a feckin' joke?

    Satire and lying for political reasons are two different things.

    RIP Richard Jewell, I won't forget how the media destroyed your life

    "Richard Allensworth Jewell (born Richard White;[1] December 17, 1962 – August 29, 2007) was an American police officer and security guard. While working as a security guard for AT&T, he became known in connection with the Centennial Olympic Park bombing at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.[2] Discovering a backpack filled with three pipe bombs on the park grounds, Jewell alerted police and helped to evacuate the area before the bomb exploded, saving many people from injury or death. Initially hailed by the media as a hero, Jewell was later considered a suspect. Jewell's case is considered an example of the damage that can be done by media reporting based on unreliable or incomplete information.[3]

    Despite never being charged, he underwent a "trial by media" with great toll on his personal and professional life. Jewell was eventually completely exonerated, and Eric Rudolph was later found to have been the bomber.[4][5] In 2006, Governor Sonny Perdue publicly thanked Jewell on behalf of the State of Georgia for saving the lives of those at the Olympics.[6] Jewell died on August 29, 2007 of heart failure from complications of diabetes at age 44. So the cops ruined his life by falsely implicating him. The media had hailed him as a hero.

    some snips from Wikipedia:
    the lawsuits vs media he won:
    the leftist news media went after that kid because he wore a "MAGA" hat. The leftist news media is so hell bent on trying to make Trump look bad that they destroyed this kid's life. Now it is time for these commie "news people" to pay.
