I would love to know what other people here collect. I'm not at all a hoarder, I just happen to collect many different things ... mostly books, rare and first additions are what I really seek but also biographies as is my favorite read ... over 4000 books now and no I haven't read them all and never will ... people don't seem to read much anymore which is sad ... the collection will go to the kids and grandkids ...

Mostly an accidental sports memorabilia collector ... my bother in law has been a coach in the college and pro football ranks for over 35 years ... most of my stuff is from the University of Miami with game worn signed helmets and jerseys ... all the big names ... from late 80's to about 2012 ... my Michel Irvin and Sean Taylor helmets are worth a small fortune ... I've got some pretty bad ass NFL stuff now as my BIL went to the pros in 2013 ... my highlights are game worn jerseys from Drew Brees, Brian Urlacher and "Big" Vince Wilfork ... I don't buy any BS autopen stuff online ...

Watches ... very small collection from my wife over the years ... mostly Rolex of course but I do have a Tag and a PP ...

rocks and sticks ... something new ... currently living in a townhouse in AZ with a small yard and I gather rocks, cactus skeletons and sun bleached tree limbs for mini yard sculptures ...

    you?

Fossils. I have spent thousands of hours digging here in SW Florida in the famous Peace river in a region known as "Bone valley" Fl.
I have a thread somewhere full of pics.

I've collected many different things in the course of my lifetime... toys, seashells, rocks, books, coins, objects with special symbols, etc...

Several years ago, I intentionally directed and focused myself to collect only "money"... and I'm hoping to become a "hoarder" !

    I collect guitars.
I collect and have guitars rebuilt and customised.

    I have;

    • 2005 Gibson R7 VOS Les Paul gold top/dark back with Slash Signature Seymour Duncan pickups, Tone Pros tune o' matic bridge, speed knobs.

    • 1996 Gibson Custom Custom Shop chambered body 60's slimline neck profile red sparkle top/dark back that I had the same model of pickups as Slash uses Seymour Duncan APH-1 pickups, but not the Slash set. Gibson put a Schaller tune o' matic bridge on this guitar as well as speed knobs so the only thing I had done to this guitar was the pickups.

    • 1999 American Fender Deluxe Stratocaster ash body/maple neck, teal with a custom scratch plate holding 2 humbucker pickups and on a 3 way selector switch, and a 9volt battery behind the scratch plate so no wood had to be removed from this Fender Deluxe to power its active Zakk Wylde EMG set pickups, and a Shadow 124 kill pot 250 capactor pot for the active pickups as its volume control keeping Fender's original the selector switch and 1 volume 2 tone control setup in this guitar.

    • I have other guitars too, a 1960's Framus Hollywood I had rebuilt and customised since it was a good as firewood when I met it missing original parts and looking cool in it's own after market pat, I had that rebuilt and customised to my desires; Seymour Duncan APH-1 set, Schaller tune o' matic bridge... Extra wood to support that bridge in this hollow bodied one of a kind. That was my first guitar I had customised, I had it fixed when I was 20, and had it customised for my 21st as a gift to myself.
    • This guitar what's a custom built in Surrey, England that I found and bought, it's got high mateirals; good woods/pearl inlaws/gold leafing/bone nut, but it's also an awesome sounding guitar, with a wider neck, almost acoustic guitar neck shape, with a stratocaster shape with telecaster electronics. I played around with this guitar with the pickups before settling for a new guitar bridge/acoustic pickup from Fishman pickups, the pickups that were on it when I bought it, which were Kent Armstrong Hot Rails in the end, I went for Fender then didn't like them so went back to my Kent Armstrong, I went for 2 toggle switches, one main one for the electric guitar being a 3 way toggle switch, and a smaller one to activate that Fishman power bridge to switch it to acoustic guitar, and I had a battery box cut into this guitar to house the 9 volt batter that powered the smart chip to make the guitar able to switch from electric guitar amp to acoustic guitar amp through a splitter, and when I had the Fishman power bridge put into this guitar, holes had to be drilled into the back as this bridge meant pulling the strings through the guitar.

I have a couple of antique acoustic guitars that are stock. I had to compromise here, and went for the best sounding guitars I could get since I couldn't afford what I wanted; being Guild or Martins, I went for affordable guitars that I loved the tone of, so older guitars.
    • 1940's spec 1951 Stella Harmony H929 Parlor Guitar (1940's spec being before the steel reinforced neck).
    • 1969 Stella Harmony H913 12 String Dreadnought Guitar
    • An early 1950's ? on the exact year Catania Carmelo Parlour Guitar
