    Apparently in an attempt to influence both the FBI, and the Department of Justice, Trump asked then FBI director Comey to end Flynn investigation.

    Does Trump realize where he is? Does he think he's still running Trump enterprises? We can't get through a day now without a notice about how out off touch with reality Trump is.

    • F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, in an Oval Office meeting in February, according to a memo that Mr. Comey wrote shortly after the meeting.

      “I hope you can let this go,” the president told Mr. Comey, according to the memo.

      The existence of Mr. Trump’s request is the clearest evidence that the president has tried to directly influence the Justice Department and F.B.I. investigation into links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia.

      Mr. Comey wrote the memo detailing his conversation with the president immediately after the meeting, which took place the day after Mr. Flynn resigned, according to two people who read the memo. The memo was part of a paper trail Mr. Comey created documenting what he perceived as the president’s improper efforts to influence an ongoing investigation. An F.B.I. agent’s contemporaneous notes are widely held up in court as credible evidence of conversations.

    Obstruction of justice for 'hoping?" Obstruction of justice is saying the cops acted stupidly or if Trump had a son he'd look like Flynn.

    So did Comey notify anyone? The ethics committee? Did he pursue obstruction charges ... was Sally Yates informed?

    Depending, of course, on just how involved Pence is in all of this. He might also have to go. But, I'd certainly settle for him taking over otherwise.

    Yes, he told other senior FBI members, but kept it private beyond that because he did not want to influence the team which was investigating Flynn or the other aspects of Russia.

    Apparently that's not something Comey's familiar with. But Comey has a history of selectively applying the law ... maybe he flips a coin.

    Exposing traitors is not a waste of my tax dollars. The budget used for that has my blessings and I'm sure I am not alone in that sentiment. The only folks that will abstain from that are Russkie trolls and very unpatriotic Americans.
