No, it is a review of the studies conducted between 1946 and 2018.

    Focus:

    “Abstract
There were 3 influenza pandemics in the 20th century, and there has been 1 so far in the 21st century. Local, national, and international health authorities regularly update their plans for mitigating the next influenza pandemic in light of the latest available evidence on the effectiveness of various control measures in reducing transmission. Here, we review the evidence base on the effectiveness of nonpharmaceutical personal protective measures and environmental hygiene measures in nonhealthcare settings and discuss their potential inclusion in pandemic plans. Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza. We similarly found limited evidence on the effectiveness of improved hygiene and environmental cleaning. We identified several major knowledge gaps requiring further research, most fundamentally an improved characterization of the modes of person-to-person transmission.”
Volume 26, Number 5—May 2020, Policy Review, Nonpharmaceutical Measures for Pandemic Influenza in Nonhealthcare Settings—Personal Protective and Environmental Measures, Jingyi Xiao1, Eunice Y. C. Shiu1, Huizhi Gao, Jessica Y. Wong, Min W. Fong, Sukhyun Ryu, and Benjamin J. Cowling, Author affiliations: University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. (emphasis mine)

Of course you disregard all the studies that support masking for Covid. Flu and Clovis aren’t even the same virus. Tell us one medical research facility that does not recommend masking.

So "14 randomized controlled trials" from 1946 to 2018 showed masks are not effective at spreading viruses.
Is it your position that all of those randomized controlled trials Fake Science?

Do you have link to randomized controlled trial that supports your position?

Liberals in Florida blamed every single COVID death on Trump when he was in office - when Joe Biden got into the White House, they suddenly blamed every single COVID death on DeSantis.

No, we blamed higher then should be death rates on the people who listened to Trump. Only a dufus would take a person like Trump serious who lied about Covid from day one. These people are still around listening to DeSantis or other wizards from Oz.

Another absurd irrational ad hominem personal attack instead of substantive rebuttal. Start by actually reading my post.

In fact, the policy review I found is a CDC source. You can do better.

Seriously , you think it’s an attack when for the third time I point out that Covid IS NOT INFLUENZA ? Deal with it….you don’t know what you are talking about and you’re remarks are anti good public health.

No medical research facility agrees with you.

That’s like someone promoting not buying Toyota’s because the repair records for a Dodge is poor. Just because they have some similarities does not mean the studies for one are valid for another. Good grief, why are you promoting poor health habits when EVERY MEDICAL RESEARCH FACILITY IN THE COUNTRY DOES NOT.

What is you’re agenda ? It certainly isn’t medical science and good public health activities. This is the same crapolla promoted by public smokers. Next, are conservatives going to be agasint hand washing in public facilities ?

Read this. COVID IS NOT INFLUENZA .
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7834708/

Flu vaccines have been out a long time and that alone has long term affects on the spread of influenza using mask modalities. Get with the program. You’re perpetual posting is anti science, anti public health and pro being uninformed and unfounded conspiracy theories.

Trump, only promoted vaccines after he got covid. He promoted anti science and stupidity for months. Even now, he hedges in public responsibility for the vaccine. You’re not listening to Trump are you ? He got boo ed when endorsing it and immediately did and about face promoting freedom over public health. You’re totally uninformed.

They are randomized trials for INFLUENZA, dah.

You think all viruses are the same ? I bet this logic would lead one to believe all automobiles are the same too.

IOW, you do not know what an ad hominem personal attack is. I thought it might be enough to point it out.

How specifically is the spread of the flu virus different from the spread of C19?
Your source does not say that there is a difference. Did you actually read it?

Why do you think C19 spreads in a different way from the flu virus? Let's see a source and a quote.

They are both viruses. How does the spread of the flu virus differ? Try to be specific.

You didn’t read the reference did you ? Read it and get back to us. I gave a source.
Why are you spreading false information that represents poor public health practices. What’s your intent ? Over 95% of those hospitalized are unvaccinated. All medical research recommendations help. Name one research facility that doesn’t recommend masking for Covid.

If you’r too lazy to go to any major medical web site and research it yourself, no individual post will change the mind of a denier. I gave you reference. Read it. I also specifically gave one example why results of your so called trials are suspect.

From study #8 in your link.
From study #2 of your link.

A great deal of the content of your link is based on old studies of influenza and other viruses. Moral of story, you should probably at least read a bit of your links and save yourself some embarrassment. Or just stop posting about Covid period. Save what little is left (if any) of your credibility.

Hilarious. The influenza is a control group to determine methodology , not the sole determinant. They actually did covid trials.YOUR’s DID NOT. You need to brush upon your math and science. You have NO COVID studies.

oh, a personal attack because I’m right. You have no answer to the questions, “why are you promoting poor health habits?” vs what every medical research facility in the US does ?

The right has a history of ignorance of math and science.

You linked to a plethora of studies of influenza while mocking someone for discussing studies of influenza. A great deal of what we know about mask usage comes from studies of other pathogens. That’s just a fact that you were apparently unaware of.

Again, there is nothing right wing about me. I am always “correct” but not “right”. I’m trying to help you Dagosa. I hate to see you embarrassed so day after day. Why not just post on a subject you have some knowledge of instead of spreading misinformation on Covid?

You’re poor math skills are evident. The trials I referenced has COVID studies. Your’s does not.
