I wouldn't worry about Dixon, he is on the losing side and has been for quite some time. He seems to think that by appealing to tradition that-that is enough to over rule the rights of people. His arguments have nothing to do with equality or justice they are firmly based in his own intolerance of others.

Closely related couples are excluded UNLESS they are infertile, while same-sex couples are excluded despite being so... There is no parallel in these two scenarios, in fact they are treated in precisely the opposite way. As for the limitation, the courts and society have seen fit to protect marriage for several reasons, many of which are not considered individually NECESSARY, but several of which are deemed SUFFICIENT.
Now you are just making the (*)(*)(*)(*) up as you go along, because you arent capable of formulating a rational argument. All 50 states exclude anyone wishing to marry a parent adult children, or sibling, whether they are fertile or not.
