And that’s her shot at VP pick going up in flames. Bravo to Trumpers for speaking out against one of their own to do what’s right. This woman is sick in the head if she thinks it’s okay to shoot a puppy just for being a nuisance. Insane. Just turn it in to a shelter? Pretty sure in my state it is illegal to just shoot a dog.

I disagree with what Noem did. I like animals more than I like most of the people I unfortunately know.

The dog was killing the neighbors chickens. When a dog starts killing livestock, they don't stop. That's why they have to be put down. Only country folks will understand.

Well, she could have given the dog to the SPCA instead of shooting it. Also, having said in the book that she "hated" that dog, doesn't help her case.

I do agree, however, that people living in rural areas and on farms have a different perspective on animals, especially if they are their livelihood. There is a lot of dirty work involved. Often, the animal rights people, who show indignation about this, are oblivious. If they eat meat, they should go to a slaughterhouse and see how the deed is done, and if they can't stomach it, they should stop eating meat.

And that's the problem with today's society, we are often so far removed from the consequences of our actions that we do not care about those consequences. And this goes for both sides of the political spectrum.

This is rich, coming from the married so-called Chrisitan gal who was outed last fall for having a years long affair with Cory Lewandsowski.

Kristi Noem faces immense backlash for her action

"Describing Cricket as a "difficult, messy and ugly" dog, she remarked, "I hated that dog". According to Donald Trump's potential VP contender Noem, she took Cricked to a gravel pit and shot the puppy with her gun."

    Trump re-hired Cory Lewandowski.

    snip:

The charge came nearly a year after Trashelle Odom accused Lewandowski of repeatedly touching her, including on her leg and buttocks, and speaking to her in sexually graphic terms. POLITICO reported that Odom, the wife of Idaho construction executive and major GOP donor John Odom, also alleged that Lewandowski “stalked” her throughout the hotel where the event took place, told her she had a “nice ass,” and threw a drink at her.'

Trump's bestest gal, Hope Hicks, had affairs with both Rob Porter and Cory Lewandsowski.
Porter the wife beater and Lewandsowski the sexual assaulter etc.

Her choice in guys isn't surprising since she loved being Trump's little pet.

Farmers have to put down livestock and all other creatures all the time. Certainly an orchard farmer can cut into a deer herd and the like. Could Gov Noem have done better with the dog, sure but dogs are put down all the time for unruly behavior.

Shooting it is better than keeping it locked up in a crate most of its life, like so many 'dog lovers' do. Dogs are wild animals and can have emotional problems that require more time and energy to reverse than the dog is worth. Sometimes you can find people who enjoy training and fixing 'problem dogs.' But if you can't, and you can't manage a misbehaving animal, you have to get rid of it. If you can't find anyone else that wants it, no friends or family or charitable organizations that will take it in, what do you do instead?

We had a dog that someone asked us to watch for a few days, which tuned into a few weeks, and then a few months, and this dog had bad mental issues. Primarily, it was terrified of men, to the point where I had to coordinate with my stepdaughter to put it in a crate covered with a blanket before I could come into my own house, or it would totally freak out, barking crazily, growling, running to whatever part of the house I wasn't in and usually pissing and ******** as it went. We tried multiple times with me crouching and offering it to smell my hand, offering treats, me sitting quietly in the room and slowly letting it out to investigate me on its own... nothing worked. It just freaked out like it was in mortal danger, every time. And my stepdaughter has another dog, the two of them got along great, but this crazy dog couldn't take ques even from another dog that I wasn't a threat. I could be petting and playing with the other dog, and this crazy dog would be barking and growling and freaking out the whole time. And the owner would not come back to get it.

Also there's a high likelihood it was part coyote. It was born from orchard dogs, its eyes and fur coloration matched very closely to online descriptions of 'coydogs', and they're known to be hard to train.

I tried rehoming it on craigslist, but apparently no one in my area wants a new dog. I was going to put it down, but the dogs owner did eventually, fortunately, come back and get it.

Putting a healthy dog down should be a last resort, but it is sometimes necessary.

Then one day she was shootin’ at some food, and up from the ground come a bubblin’ crude….

She failed to train the dog properly. The ignorant hillbilly could have still trained it properly or given it away. Putting it down is doing it humanely, not shooting it.

A kid is introduced to his step father's religious/culinary culture.
A cruel, dumb **** woman shoots her puppy that obviously wasn't trained to hunt birds no less.

"Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt tweeted in response: "@BenLaBolt What's the next attack @EricFerhn and the RNC will surface on a 6-10 year old?""

["With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy)," the president wrote. "Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share".
