That's strange. When China first reported their numbers, many Trump supporters said they were lying and the real numbers were much greater. When the US started getting cases many Trump supporters started saying that China numbers were true and look how they are going down. Now you post the crisis is over in China. When did you start believing the news coming out of China?

China went first, completely into the unknown, and with time China has much better numbers now. With just a bit of time the US will have much better numbers.

It was quite bad in Wuhan, China for about 9 weeks. I sure was glad it didn't get any worse for them because that would have meant worse for US -- in some proportion considering the difference between the two countries.

 

You're just repeating what I wrote in my post. How is it that the news coming out of China is suddenly true when just a few weeks ago the news coming out of China were lies according to many, mostly Trump supporters. Now, my position is that the news coming out of China is probably true now and it was then too. However the measures China took would never be accepted in the US

 

It started in China where they disingenuously kept quiet about it for too long. It's now in America and worldwide. Trump is doing everything right and has been from the start, including the travel bans the left labelled as racist and xenophobic.

He's not downplaying the threat and in an effort to try to dissuade mass panic many of you just don't listen to common sense and prefer to run around with your hair on fire screaming "the sky is falling".

Some people are their own worst enemies yet still need a scapegoat to blame for their own inadequacies and I guess Trump fits that bill in their mind and that's not only totally illogical it's downright ... (fill in the blank).

china lackdown large part of country with 50+ millions, yet it still has 90,000+ infection, US hasn't lock down yet, do you think we have less infection compare to china.

 

yes he did shut it down with exceptions to get the Americans home and facilitate shipments of supplies and personnel to fight it.

And you would have rather had Joe Biden in charge who would have left those flights and people keep coming in?

 

Setting aside that Trump's effect on any aspect of the country and especially as regards to this virus is largely driven through his words...

- Dismantling the pandemic response team last year.
- Contradicting the CDC recommendation on telling the elderly to stay away from airplanes
- Refusing to act quicker on ramping up tests and otherwise preparing for the virus
- Appointing VP, whose main claim to health crisis fame was making an HIVs outbreak worse, to the lead the response
- Encouraging so much infighting amongst his top officials that the person charged with being the point person for the care of the elderly was originally not part of the response team
- Demanding so much praise that every official has to repeatedly and explicitly praise trump at every opportunity
- Making responses to the virus based on political favoritism, like stopping the shipment of COVID patients to Alabama after a pushback from Alabama officials, but not doing the same in Blue States (California, I believe) despite requests from those State officials

So you write that he did shut it down then go on to list exceptions LOL. Americans are still flying in/out of China and there are still shipments hence it's not a ban. Americans are even traveling to Wuham

 

close the border didn't stop the virus period. he should prepare way before 33 US state has this virus already. where is the test kits? he saying everybody can get test, yet its contradict to VPs words. he have so many conflict words between him and those work with him, which make the current admin an incompetent one.

 

Joe Biden was not talking about the travel ban from China. He was talking about the plethora of racial based attacks against Asian individuals that Trump's history and rhetoric has explicitly and implicitly encouraged.
