    Stuff like this just can't be made up.

    If it wasn't for the fact that it was in a legitimate source I would have thought this was an Onion article.

    This is why we have Representatives and not direct people voting on issues. There are many, many people that are stupid.

    I thought maybe this was because enough voters went straight ticket voting, but there where 4 other people running and while the article doesn't indicate their party affiliation I find hard to believe they were from 4 separate political parties.

    I’m surprised he’s a dem, seems most Portuguese politicians are republicans like Nunes and Toomey.
