Illegal immigrants who commit crimes face lesser punishment than U.S. citizens The Gang of Eights bill would allow illegal aliens who entered the country before Dec. 31, 2011, and committed up to three misdemeanor offenses including but not limited to assault, battery, bestiality, identity or document fraud, prostitution, drug trafficking, DUI's, human trafficking, tax evasion, to remain eligible for Registered Provisional Status. Meanwhile, U.S. citizens and persons who entered the country legally could incur up to $100,000 in fines,15 years of imprisonment, or be prohibited to reenter the country for up to 10 years. Even illegal alien gang members, MS-13, 18th Street Gang, Mexican Mafia, etc. will be rewarded amnesty. And you can expect liberal activist judges expunging illegal aliens criminal records who have been convicted of violent felony convictions just like they did back in 1986 during the first amnesty. http://washingtonexaminer.com/illeg...punishment-than-u.s.-citizens/article/2532306
I've yet to hear a good reason from the "Gang" why they should be granted such broad immunity. It seems very unfair that some of these laws are felonies and there are citizens in jail right now because of them.
Screw it. I'm about to offer a hearty welcome to all illegal aliens who can properly differentiate between your and you're.
I basically grew up among a similar demographic. I mean that's an exaggeration obviously, but Mexican border-jumpers are nearly always poor farmers from central Mexico that lack the schooling or skills (and frankly usually smarts) to get a very good job in Mexico (which, for the record, has a lower unemployment rate than the US), so they trek up the border to do the really basic stuff they do at home like farming, gardening, construction or whatever, for relatively a lot more money. Think about it. Most illegal Mexicans stateside end up working in like gardening or construction or whatever for less than minimum wage, and think that's heaven. By contrast the actual average monthly income of a Mexican worker is about $600 a month (nominal -- by purchasing power parity it's about $1,000), and professionals make much more than that. It's (*)(*)(*)(*) by developed country standards, but enough that someone thinking about the matter objectively would have to wonder why any educated Mexican would jump the border to work at El Pollo Loco for $4 an hour. The answer is they wouldn't, and thus illegals by general rule can't be expected to be budding Einsteins.
Mexico has been exporting their uneducated, unskilled losers for over four decades now. The Democrat Party survival is dependent on uneducated people who will likely become dependent on government. That's why the Democrat Party's immigration policy isn't what is best for America but what is best for the immigrant/illegal alien and the Democrat Party.
Sure. My apartment complex recently got new roofing, and the crew who did it were all Mexicans. I was a little disappointed to see that, but not really surprised.
