There is nothing in the New Testament, the core tenets of Christianity, calling for the death of non-believers.

Because I actually like you, and I actually think you often make well thought out points, up to an including me being the one who nominated you for the best post when you won it, I will tell you my thoughts on that.

I live in American. Here, the only folks trying to impose their religious morality upon me are Christians. The folks trying to put their religion into laws are Christan. Don't mistake my disdain for religion as only targeting Christianity. I hold Islam in as low of a regard, I simply do not see it as close to me, and hence don;t worry about it as much.

Now I do rail against Christianity as it affects me personally. However, I stand up for Islam in this country as I believe in not only freedom from religion, but freedom of religion, and they tend to get pissed on an awful lot, especially considering their are millions of Muslims in this country and the rate of them doing what we see on TV in the Middle East in the name of religion is statistically near zero. I also realize my right to not be religious, to attack religion, is the same right that folks have to practice their religions, hence I also stick up for the right, not always for religion.

 

I don't want them to go as relatively far right as you are left. Extremism is currently practiced and enforced by the progressives. They've made their beds.
