Lots of suspicion and speculation (and a little media hype) but nothing certain. Most significantly, there is absolutely nothing relating to even speculation about Phenylbutazone. You don't have anything to back up your definitive statement that some unspecified "they" are putting Phenylbutazone in to the food chain.

Frankly , I would'nt put anything past what some people would do. Upto a few weeks ago I wouldnt have believed that supermarket Lasagna would contain Horse meat perhaps donkey or dog . who knows .

    see this :

Phenylbutazone (Bute) getting into the human food chain

    http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=593166

Even a small dose of Bute, particularly on small children could have a degenerative effect from a burger!

    =====
So far , all the details have not yet been made public.

More shall no doubt be revealed in due coarse.

I went into a local shop this morning, happened to say to the guy how long he had been here.

'24yrs' he replies. Then adds 'Not for much longer':frown:

Why? The third Tesco Express within a two mile radius. Such a shame. All these good shops, driven out of business by large corporations that care so much about their custom, they let criminal syndacites get into the process. See, how everyone was told how good it would be, for us? It was a lie.

Phenylbutazone (bute) is a painkiller and anti-inflammatory drug used in horses and dogs.

Bute is one of the most widely used drugs in horses; it is an inexpensive, highly effective treatment that can be injected intravenously or given orally to horses as a powder or paste.

Findus have been ordered by the FSA to carry out tests for bute on their products which have been found to contain horsemeat.

    http://www.sciencemediacentre.org/phenylbutazone-bute-and-horsemeat/

Right now the govts of each country is trying to shift blame on each other and there's no telling for how many years / decades - horse or other meat has been mixed into our food.

More ADD, ADHA, organ failure, asthma, etc

You're entirely missing the point. I'm not objecting to a statement that it could happen, I'm objecting to a statement that it certainly is happening.

That's just more irrelevant speculation. Not surprising as that's all there is. I point out the only facts regarding this aspect of the issue; There is zero evidence that Phenylbutazone has entered the food chain, let alone at levels that could be in any way dangerous. It's a worthy consideration for the experts looking in to the issue but far from the only or most significant one.

Scary speculation about "mysterious" drugs with long, complicated names make for good tabloid filler in the absence of any real news. I consider this kind of rabid speculation, exaggeration and rabble-rousing potentially more dangerous than the realities of what they're speculating about.

    Okay, Joe.

Let's just say that for some reason, and I cannot think what, we do not have much faith or trust right now.

It's not what we know, that is bad enough.

It is what we do not know.

    Or maybe not!

Happened to be looking for the biggest pharma companies, the other day.

    I got to the first two;

GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) (LSE: GSK, NYSE: GSK) is a British multinational pharmaceutical, biologics, vaccines and consumer healthcare company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is the world's fourth-largest pharmaceutical company measured by 2009 prescription drug sales.

GSK has a portfolio of products for major disease areas including asthma, cancer, virus control, infections, mental health, diabetes, and digestive conditions.

In July 2012, GSK pleaded guilty to criminal charges and agreed to a $3 billion settlement of the largest health-care fraud case in the U.S. and the largest payment by a drug company in the US.

The settlement is related to the company's illegal promotion of best-selling anti-depressants and its failure to report safety data about a top diabetes drug.

*So that is all a comfort then*

    Who are key people?

    Sir Christopher Charles Gent.

See? Peerages to people like this.

    Sir Andrew Philip Witty.
    **

Pfizer develops and produces medicines and vaccines for a wide range of conditions including in the areas of immunology and inflammation, oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, neuroscience and pain.

In September 2009, Pfizer pleaded guilty to the illegal marketing of the arthritis drug Bextra for uses unapproved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and agreed to a $2.3 billion settlement, the largest health care fraud settlement at that time

Pfizer also paid the U.S. government $1.3 billion in criminal fines related to the "off-label" marketing of Bextra, the largest penalty ever rendered for any crime. Called a repeat offender, this was Pfizer's fourth such settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice in the previous ten years.

I don't understand why you're throwing out the insults just because I'm picking up other people on unsupported statements. I though I made it quite clear I'm not dismissing any possibilities but I'm also not automatically accepting anything speculative and unsupported, including statements made by Jack or yourself.

Even Jack seems to have grudgingly accepted my point, having now moved on to something entirely different.

I have always had some deep suspicions about some 'viruses', as well.

    I know.

    Write it off.

    But still..

Former Mossad agent, Victor Ostrovsky, releases another book entitled, "The Other Side Of Deception," in which he reveals the following, on page 241...

"Uri was on a cooling off period from the United States.

'What is the Mossad doing giving humanitarian assistance to blacks in Soweto?' I remember asking him. There was no logic to it; no short-term political gain (which was the way the Mossad operated) or any visible monetary advantage.

'Do you remember Nes Siyyona?' His question sent shivers up my spine. I nodded.

'This is very much the same. We're testing both new infectious diseases and new medication that can't be tested on humans in Israel, for several of the Israeli medicine manufacturers. This will tell them whether they're on the right track, saving them millions in research.'

'What do you think about all this?' I had to ask.

'It's not my job to think about it.'"

It'll be okay. Viruses brought into the UK from holy muslim countries are harmless and nothing to worry about.
