Delta airlines punished in Georgia for not being politically correct

Delta flights out of Georgia were going to get a tax break on their fuel. When they decided to stop offering the NRA a discount the republican party went and took that tax exemption away because of their actions.

 

I am a fiscal conservative and I don't see why government is interfering with private companies. I don't have a problem with them not offering a tax break on fuel to Delta if they do not believe it is in the state's best interest. Just don't do it because one private company decided to not offer discounts to another private organization. This is the definition of big government getting in the way of capitalism. Something is wrong with the republican party. This week I have heard talks of taking away guns without due process, imposing tariffs and now interfering in private business because they do not like a discount policy change.

 

Delta will get its tax rebate back. Just a couple of boys makin' a point. $50M is big money but for Delta with $41B in revenue and $3.6B in profits this past year it's barely a worry, right up their with a paper cut.

It's all ok, Delta is a Navy bastion and God knows they are politically active.
