    Why are there democratic socialist in NY protesting to **** down ICE don't they think that illegal immigration would make it harder for them to make a living. And would crowd our hospitals even more. And does socialism really work any where on earth I dontninderstand what's wrong with our country anymore

    Socialism really doesn't address immigration.

    As far as the ideology goes it doesn't matter, what matters is those that are here contribute to the state.

    If anything it should be the immigrants protesting socialism because they will get used worse than the place they are leaving probably. They will have no freedom, its like running from the frying pan into the fire basically.

    Take a look at any of the heavily socialist countries, today or in the past, and tell me if the people have done better or worse under that system.

    Then you will have your answer.

    Democratic socialism won't work especially in the USA which by default we are primarily more individualistic. Socialism can work if it merges with capitalism like what Germany has done with its pro market reforms but with protesting to dismantle ICE I think it is doomed to fail. Why protest for a illegal immigration but not for innocent people who are incarcerated or for the homeless it males no sense

    Children have been brainwashed in public schools for over 50 years! So many of them are clueless about the origins of our country and the principles upon which it was built! The don't know anything about the Constitution, the separation of powers, why the states were given more power than the federal government ( who has been usurping that power for the last 200 years,) or the bill of rights! There was a poll of recent college graduates about 15 years ago and 79% of them could not accurately place the war famous U.S Generals served in.Nor could 62% of them name a single SC Judge at the time, or know how many SC Judge's there were on the court! Anyone from my generation would have easily passed that test, which illustrates the difference between those of us who were properly educated and the unfortunate who have been brainwashed!

    Well first one should understand that the term Democratic socialist is largely an oxymoron. 2nd it is likely that most of this crowd of ne'er do wells is likely being paid to be there. and 3rd and finally their understanding of basic economics is for all practical purposes non existent.
